Los Angeles-class towed array in Epic Mod v.2.27

Hi!

I am using a Los Angeles-class Flight 2 submarine in the Epic Mod V2.27 in the 1984 time epoch.

The unit description says it has a TB-23 towed array passive sonar (hydrophone), but it doesn't appear to be working: The "LF" value is always "0", even in deep water at low speed, and the graphic display does not show the towed array being deployed.

Am I supposed to order the array deployed/stowed? If so, what commands should I use?

Thanks!

Backspace deploys and retracts the towed array

2.27 keys & my Epic W@ters - WIP

Epic Mod 2.27 Default New hotkeys:

BACKSPACE - Towed Array

DELETE - anti-missile Chaff

ENTER - open fire from art. guns

SHIFT+ENTER - open fire from RBU

SHIFT+Mouse1 - set a marker on the map

SHIFT+Mouse3 - delete markers on the map

you can change em ofc

while im hear & you have all ready brought this topic up

ill give some infomation on my Towed array & Sensors WIP on my mod Epic W@ters

As those in the Navy the Early Navy will know Towed arrays aint buy any means a new thing so like :

Surface Warships had (TACTASS)

"Tactical Towed Array Sonar System"

&

Submarines Had (STASS)

"Submarine Towed Array Sonar System"

My WIP on my mod is Currently focusing on 5 main upgrade features

1.) Clip on Arrays so :

Surface Warships Clip On Arrays : SQR-18 & SQR-19 "For now"

Submarines Clip On Arrays : BQR-23 & BQR-25 "For Now"

Note Clip on Arrays : "WIP"

these act like a all ways deployed Second array thats spawned on a new Array Vessel Position in game

and if damaged they disappear so all ways active until destroyed but like all arrays speed degrades their usefulness & can damage or even destroy em

2.) Surface Towed Arrays (Retractable)

Active only SQS-35 IVDS

"Independent Variable Depth Sonar" "for now"

3.) Submarine Towed Arrays (Retractable)

so normal Arrays like TB-12 & TB-16 ect

4.) Duel Internal Retractable Arrays so Ohio ect so :

TB-16A two of then later on

Tb-16A & Tb-16B

5.) More Arrays this ones the easiest and is all ready completed i just added more Towed arrays so ect :

USN Examples :

usn_bqh_5 (barbel class only)

usn_bqr_23 (archerfish - longhull sturgeons)

usn_bqr_25 (skipjack)

usn_an_bqr_15 (ohio and Lafayette-class SSBN,S)

usn_tb_12 (los_angeles first boats)

usn_tb_16 (fat line legacy array)

usn_tb_16_a (fat line legacy array)

usn_tb_16_b (fat line legacy array)

usn_tb_34

usn_tb_23

usn_tb_29

usn_tb_29a

usn_tb_29x

usn_tb_33 (fiber optic - limited production) (better speed less noise)

Gives you some idear

ive all so re worked the noise to speed ratio & values as well as frequency's of all Sonars & Towed Sonars

also ive added extra values if they have extra sensors so Flank arrays ect

then lastly type so :

Conformal / Spherical / Cylindrical

Ect.

then i looked at area of all systems for 360 realistic area of coverage and adjusted their bind spots accordingly ect :

SonarModel=usn_an_bqq_3
SonarType=ACTIVE/PASSIVE
SonarFrequencies=L,M
SonarActiveSensitivity=30
SonarPassiveSensitivity=38
SonarBaffle=150
SonarNoisePerKnot=1
SonarOutput=210

all sonars of every thing in the game was balanced for era / nation and quality EVEN Sonar buoys and dipping sonar ofc

this TOOK ages i also made a spred sheet to keep better track

"AS in any submarine or navy game THE SENSORS make or break the game play wise"

Examples of my sensors would be :

usn_ssn_774_Virginia_Blk1

ActiveSonarModel=usn_an_bqq_10_F
PassiveSonarModel=usn_an_bqq_10_F
TowedArrayModel=usn_tb_29
AnechoicCoating=TRUE
RADAR=usn_bps_16

usn_ssn_778_New_Hampshire_Blk2

ActiveSonarModel=usn_an_bqq_10_F
PassiveSonarModel=usn_an_bqq_10_F
TowedArrayModel=usn_tb_33
AnechoicCoating=TRUE
RADAR=usn_bps_16

usn_ssn_784_North_Dakota_Blk3

NOTE : Vpt (Virginia Payload Tubes) "Introduced" & noise reduction technology from Ohio-class SSBNs

ActiveSonarModel=usn_an_lab
PassiveSonarModel=usn_an_lab
TowedArrayModel=usn_tb_33
AnechoicCoating=TRUE
RADAR=usn_bps_16B

usn_ssn_790_ South_Dakota_Blk3

NOTE : Hybrid Multi material Rotor & Reconfigured Bow

ActiveSonarModel=usn_an_lab
PassiveSonarModel=usn_an_lab
TowedArrayModel=usn_tb_33
AnechoicCoating=TRUE
RADAR=usn_bps_16B

usn_ssn_792_Vermont_Blk4

ActiveSonarModel=usn_an_lab
PassiveSonarModel=usn_an_lab
TowedArrayModel=usn_tb_34 ( or usn_tb-29x )
AnechoicCoating=TRUE
RADAR=usn_bps_16B

usn_ssn/ssgn_802 Oklahoma_Blk5

NOTE : Extra Vpt (Virginia Payload Tubes)

Sensors Same as a blk 4 for now

ActiveSonarModel=usn_an_lab
PassiveSonarModel=usn_an_lab
TowedArrayModel=usn_tb_34 ( or usn_tb-29x )
AnechoicCoating=TRUE
RADAR=usn_bps_16B

these are just some examples all Nations have the proper sensors to the best i can "Ascertain" and i will Absolutely be changing stuff as i go ofc

Hi!

Thank you for the responses. Works fine now. Now if only I can start an approach when the detection level is "10" instead of "110" so I can conduct a proper approach... :)
