Torpedoes and false targets
 
Hi all,

there is a mod that avoid submarine dance and force noisemakers to be a real bait for torpedoes?

I would something that allow to drop a bait then turn off engines and become invisible.

In CW even with baits and engines off you are even visible like AI knows ever where you are. I really don't like this aspect.

A decoy and a sufficiently quiet sub like a Seawolf or Narwahl can sometimes pull this off.


The AI triangulates your position based on information it has, which is limited. You can hide from the AI, it's just very hard. Some escorts have very good sonar, such as the Udaloy.



Cold Waters rewards aggressive players, perhaps a bit too much. I find my best tactic is to sink all the escorts, then attack the merchants. Very much unlike playing something like Silent Hunter, where that tactic will get you killed easily.

Best Way to kill DDs in SH2 is charge them till around 1000km keeping your bow dead center of ther bow and go full reverse wait till ther around 500 Km and let them have at around 450 you cant miss. even a human DD wont know whats coming. You dont even need TV torps. :03:
