U-Boat Interior Mod

Modification terminated. It is now part of the Das Boot Mega Mod!

Is that in the Command room?
Possibly Papenbergs_glass. No texture is assigned and is controlled by settings in the GR2 itself.
Appears to be the correct thing.

with this mod, I guess the visibility inside the sub at night may be better than in TWOS (where red lighting is used)

This looks very good, and from what derstosstrupp wrote in other thread, it would also be more true to what U-Boat interiors really looked like. Good job

Some things might be hard to repaint without changes in UV mapping - for example the blue tanks near the floor might simply use the same texture as walls, which would require re uv-mapping them to repaint.

Jeff-Groves 03-10-21 08:05 AM

You can edit the glass material with GR2EditorViewer.

derstosstrupp 03-10-21 11:23 AM

Unless something is wrong with the diesel exhaust vents, there should be no smog in the boat.

Good job on those textures @ U-190 :yeah:

Jeff-Groves 03-10-21 01:12 PM

You can change them with GR2 Editor/viewer as I stated above.
Open the CR.GR2 file with that then change the material settings for glass.
You can't change the transparency setting with the above program but you can lighten the colors.

You'll have to include the CR.GR2 file when releasing your Mod.

Jeff-Groves 03-10-21 05:32 PM

CR9C_2.dds is the file you need to look at for that texture issue.
Edit the Alpha channel of that file!
:03:

If one exports the CR_FSide_Stairs mesh?
You will find those objects in fside-staires-17 since there are multiple objects in the exported mesh.

A 'haze' due to humidity is a definite possibility. I've read about high humidity levels in a boat if it's been underwater for some time. One of the reasons the fleet boats had air conditioning. Humidity levels could get so high the electrical equipment started to fail.

:o Wow! :yeah:
