My wife just allowed me to up grade to a "new" computer after a power outage wiped out my 10 year old previous model.

HP - Pavilion Desktop - AMD A8-Series

Specs:

2.0ghz AMD processor
Windows 10
8 gb ram
1 tb hard drive (SATA)
AMD Radeon R5

Is this good enough to install SH3, 4, and 5?

That should be more than enough to run SH3-5.

Might want to put a few more gb of RAM into your machine to help with the multitasking of daily issues

u can play all of them with that pc spec. there is also some sh3 mods which one really need a good PC. Like LSH3 2015 that one doesn't run on older machine but will run on your pc

I was hoping so.

I have all three Silent Hunter games. Silent Hunter III, Silent Hunter IV, V Gold Editions.

Plus, I have the last five Command and Conquer games.

These installed correctly. Mod validator shows.

I want to add these:

Removelogointro (The Dark Wraith)
IX Boat Mod 1944 Loadout
Krauters Automated Scripts
UBoat_Snorkle_1_1_0 (The Dark Wraith)
Equiptment_Upgrades_Fix_v1.4_byThe Beast
SH5 External Cargo 10

I need a good install order. What first, second, etc if you guys would help.

Sandman, honestly, I think you need twice that power in order to run SH4 and/or 5 at a steady 60 PFS with a resolution above 1024x768.

The mega mod link you gave goes to Wolves of steel.

I d/l TDW's generic patcher, but couldn't get it to work.

And I did follow his instructions. The last time this happened, (reformatted my hd) I printed out those instructions.

So far, it did run, but due to some mod install problems, I didn't get to start the game.

I know Open Horizons II is installed correctly, and TDW's UI also. (see: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...postcount=5715)

I could go back and take out the others and add them one at a time and run mod validator to see where the conflicts are.

m8 OHII must be installed after TDW's UI not befor TDW's UI read all mod list instruction and OHII documentation too

Alright, call me stupid, but I've searched this forum, I've tried ever tip offered and, no luck.

Perhaps, somebody could post or direct me to step-by-step directions for installing SH5 on my computer.

See above specs for my computer and the mods I'm trying to enable.

I would even consider upgrading to OH II, 2.5.

Any help would be truly appreciated.

so u can't install sh5 ? insert the disc in your optic driver if the autorun doesn't start click on the setup .exe and follow the steps.
if u have bought the DVD version of the game there is also a manual how to install the game ....
my question is u can not install the game or u can not install the mods ? cos is 2 different thing installing the game and installing the mods

Excuse me, you are technically correct. It is installed on the computer.

However, I cannot get any of the mods to load correctly. I'm at work right now, but when I get a chance, I'll start the game and take screenshot of what it looks like when I'm in port prior to starting.

Step-by-step of installing mods should have been my question.

And the games seems to run, however, I have no officers in the bottom right, none of the other tabs such as "Automation" appear on the right side bar, and the usual items attached to the top bars are not showing.

Advice?

How do you bring back the officers icons and other goodies?

When you enable TDW NewUIs properly, there should be no need to bring anything back...All should be there in front of you.
