It has to be a way to do it with out using the tweaker because I have tried 10 times to use it and have failed 12..... So if any kind soul can help me please let me know....:D I dont want a "super gun" I just want it to load faster....

Anybody???.........

i believe the reason you failed with the tweaker is you forgot to remove the copied folder.
the tweaker changes the original file name to "copy of" prefix, ("torpedo.zon" becomes "copy of torpedo.zon") this file must be located and moved out of the original folder or it will not allow the changes to take effect as long as it is there. if it is a issue with RFB 1.31 then make your changes with RFB 1.31 installed and it will make changes only when that mod is installed. i usually make changes to all the other mods i use to personalize them to my liking so any mod i use has the changes i like. |

Even when you tweak the files... the reload time will vary according other factors, in example if you have crew on the deck gun or not, and according crew skills too.

That is true sir,but it dosent look like it will be changed..

Hello Clayp,
Sorry I've not responded any sooner, Im celebrating the holliday period of the kids (I myself do not have much holliday this year sniff). By asking for twice the time it takes from RFB 1.31 it means reloading twice as fast or twice the time?? :hmm: Anyway, tonight (it's 0615 in the morning now) I'll upload the files for you. Promise |

clayp, if you copy those links as text and paste them in you browser address bar, they work fine. Just to help, I translated them here.

Well shoot thank you sir!!!! How was I supposed to know that.... |
I don't think anyone was supposed to "know" it. It just seemed to make sense that if the text of the link didn't match the link itself that something was wrong with the link and perhaps the text was the link (especially since it looks like one).
The internet is a strange and unknowable beast and sometimes one must think outside of the box to navigate it. It also helps to have a "gee, I wonder what happens if I do this" attitude:rotfl:I must go now, I have an appointment with the hairstyling salon. I have to get my hair straightened from the last time I stuck my finger in the electric socket. |

BUMP!!!! One last time anybody else help on this.....:D

clayp, so you use JSGME or do you install manually? If you use JSGME, please look in your MODS folder for the folder that the mod is in (Torp Load....). Open that folder, and if there is no folder in there named Data, then you have one too many folder levels in the mod. If that is the case, then take the folder on the inside and place it in the MODS folder.
For example, if you chose the 8 second version, look in your MODS folder for a folder named Torp_load_8s or Torp load 8s. If you find one with the underscores in the name, then it probably has the mod folder (the one without the underscores) inside it. If that is the case, disable the mod with JSGME, move the folder without the underscores in the name to the MODS folder (cut and paste works fine) and then delete the folder with the underscores in the name (it should now be empty), then enable the mod and it should work fine. |
