If you aren't seeing any changes, then it must not be installed correctly or you installed it in the middle of a patrol. It's always best to install while you are in port when the mod changes as much as this one does. |

When I activated this mod, so, I have better graphics, but I can through objects, my submarine also land and I have slow mouse. :x |
Sorry, I know it's a language thing, but I found your question a little difficult to understand. The slow mouse could be caused by any number of things. Seeing through objects is a stock game problem. I don't know what to tell you about your submarine also landing. It would be helpful to know what your graphics settings are and what version of the game you are running.
If the game starts up with a "slow mouse" and a low frame rate (which happens sometimes with the stock game, too), then you can alt-tab out of the game and back in and, many times, the problem goes away. Your system specs seem to indicate that the game should run well, but video (and other) drivers can cause problems with frame rates and many other things. And no, you don't have to install while in port, but it is the safest way to activate mods that change certain game files, like this one does. |

As for the graphics problem, have you tried pressing the alt and tab keys at the same time to leave the game and then doing the same to get back into the game. Sometimes that takes care of graphics problems. I've personally used this mod on a system that was nowhere near the capacity of yours (socket A 3200+ single core CPU, 1 gig of memory and an nVidia 7800GS APG video card) and had no problems whatsoever. |

I have been using Captain America's awesome prop rotation fix mod along with PE3. I have PE3 enabled before CA's mod. CA's mod replaces the sub DATs that PE3 apparently modified. My question is, what changes does PE3 make to the DATs? Am I missing out on something? I REALLY like CA's fixed props, but if there is something drastic btween the DATs I may have to remove it. I hope not, though. Here is the thread if anyone is interested:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=138374 Here is how I have PE3 currently installed: #1 PE3 Install #2a PE3 Special effects for Stock #3a PE3 Submarine bubles and caustics and roll pitch #4 PE3 Ship_debris_SH4_with bodies #5 PE3 real reflections for harbour and objects |
Unless I'm totally wrong (for once, I don't think so:D), I believe that the only changes PE made to the .dats for the subs and conning towers was to add bubble generators and, possibly, changes to the caustics (light reflections off the water - I think these are specified somewhere other than the .dat)

Is there a way to get the water transparency back? I've searched around here and couldn't find anything. I liked seeing the looming mass of metal come rising out of the deep . If not, i can live with it, 'cus the rest of the mod is spetacular!:sunny:
