Now that I have DL it with all of the fixes Do I install it in SH4 1.5 as I would any other mods? I have been using FOTRS in v1.4 and have completed 10 patrols, however, before I remove v1.4 and reinstall UBM I would like to see how it is set up in your mods.

I just did a patrol which didnt work out for some reason but i was ordered to do a patrol just of Milan I got a radar contant NW of my position 5 posswible targets, but all of a sudden my pc slowed down big style (1st mission of the day) oh the day was 23/06/44 I have external cams enabled but what i saw was not a convoy of 4 ships but it looked like an Invasion force consisting of crusiers,DD'S thats all i saw before i got a ctd.

joking apart i'm experiencing stranges slowdowns too...especially when I encounter some grouped contacts and I don't attack them...the game dont resume it's normal speed and im forced to abandon patrol

Please tell me which resolution you play and how many ram you got on your System and Graphiccard.

FOTRS needs 2 Gigabyte Memory. Without this you cant play it.

i also get a slow down in fps rate especially if i patrol of Luzon, my graphics card is a g force 8400 gs my ram is 2 gig and am running vista and yes i have the latest drivers for my card as well,and i also got anouther CTD tonight on a convoy that's twice now, me thicks there something wrong somewhere?

I can't load a save near truk. If I am in the slow zone and try to save and reload the system memory on task manager goes to 7 figures and stays there, and does nothing and I need to kill the program. I doubt my next computer will have such an issue however. By that time gfx cards will have 1024 megs of ram as the midrange (if they don't already) and 4ghz easy.

I got the permanent slowdowns when I encounter convoys composed by 3 troop transports sailing without warship escort...last time it happened was 100nm east of the Okinawa archipelago...but it happened in other places too...

Just installed FOTRS and I'm noticing that nearly all the merchants silhouettes in the rec manual are missing the 2nd page (45° and 0° views). This is a big handicap for ID'ing the ships.
Silhouette from BB38 Pennsylvania is missing completely.


This mod looks really good - can't wait so start my 1st patrol!

For what it's worth, the US merchant ship rec manual (in real life) had no 45° or 0° views at all in it. More often than not you'd get no more than a line drawing, and maybe a picture these used to insure it.
