was talking with my friend yesterday. he said the game looks fine, tho he is a real addict to diablo so it's kinda biased opinion. I would buy it if:
-there was pvp from the first day (there is no arena yet , lol)
-the pvp was balanced (yeah, i know how it sounds but still...)

Blizz is obsessed with the word balance...but they do....nothing to balance any of their games. I gave up playing starcraft 2 bcoz of the balance.

The aforementioned friend also told me that the classes are everything but balanced in the "campaign" so no doubt they haven't released arena yet.

About DRM...dunno...I mean...I don't play games for single player so i'm kinda forced to either buying a copy or...not buying it.

I just hope gw2 is released soon.

IMO, no class based game is every truly balanced for PVP.

Skill based, yes, class based, no.

I dont understand about this 'real world money' auction house, I have read posts on forums where people were saying that its going to be easy money for them.

why will people pay real money for items? , surely only extremely rare ones would go for anything worth while?

I like the idea of being able to make a few £'s from a game , but is it realistic?

Are you kidding? There's people making their living based on it. :O:

A lot of people are lazy. A lot of people have a few bucks to spare. A lot of people would therefore prefer to part with a few dollars over making an effort.

I remember someone posting (might even have been me) an article about a kid who you'd pay to team up with in an MP game and he'd guide you, cover you, clear the way for you, take a hit for you - whatever you wanted him to do.

For every person willing to offer a service, no matter how bizzare, there are a few dozen idiots willing to pay. What's that quote? 'Build it and they shall come!' :-?

I read somewhere that the item drops are completley random..

does this mean that casual players will have a change at finding rare amd valuable loot?

Arclight 05-17-12 10:15 AM

There's always a chance, just becomes more and more likely the longer you play.

I'd say it's the people who don't/can't put many hours into it that are most likely to throw some dollars at it to get what they want. Activision doesn't mind, they take a slice of each transaction.

Did I say Activision? Of course I meant Blizzard. Not that it really matters now that they're Blizzivision.

There is a serious drop off here.

Diablo III All Cinematics

Then end of Act 5 in Diablo 2 was FAR more memorable then this.

I had two 'are you serious?' moments last night playing D3. I was saving Deckerd Cain and was fighting the big skeleton boss. He swung his big sword once, only once! My pet dogs ended up taking him out :nope: This isn't even challenging. These health orbs that constantly show up after kills are ridiculous also. It's almost impossible to die from low health. I haven't died once yet. This is absurd.
Now let's get to the real are you serious moment...I killed one of those fat men that blow up when they die and explode into many snakes. I ended up killing him and all the snakes within a second and the game displayed a popup saying 'New record! 13 monsters killed. +1300 XP' :o I shut down the game and found something else to do :shifty:
Why? Why? Why? Why did they have to ruin such an awesome series :nope:

If you think that is bad, wait until the next-gen gamers try the original Diablo after cutting their teeth on this and meet The Butcher for the first time. They will start whining about how hard the game is and blah blah blah. They have no idea where the series came from. :haha::har:

From the way you are talking, the entire game is as easy as stun-locking Diablo to death with Holy Bolt from the first game.

I haven't had a challenging time yet. D2 was way more challenging than this! The graphics are stunning but the gameplay is marginal :-? This new skill tree system sucks. Give me back the D2 way. You have pre-assigned skills that unlock at certain levels. There's no way to customize your character (skills) like in D2 :nope:

It makes me glad I decided a long time ago to not bother with D3.

:-? Ouch,

Health Orbs and screwy skill tree which doesn't allow you customize your character.

And yeh if this is easier then D2 which was on Normal quite easy the fun started when you reached Nightmare difficulty this D3 really sounds it's main focus is to make it easy to play with a focus on that stupid real money auction system :shifty:

glad I haven't purchased it yet, was to but the more I learn now of it while it's actually released the less I want to hear or see about it.
