Silent Hunter V should be Atlantic/German again - but it should be done right this time;
Silent Hunter VI should be Pacific/American again - but it should be done right this time. ;) |
Lets just keep SHV, when it comes out in 2009, make it a WWII and a U-Boat sim. That is what people like World Wide, and that would make the most money for Ubisoft.:D :D And the Battle of North atlantic is the one people enjoy learning and studying the most.:up:

I'm still hoping for a modern/ cold war era subsim based in SHIV engine or similar.
Dynamic campagne, nice visuals, you get the point... :arrgh!: I hear people saying, you don't need nice 3D rendering for modern subs, cause you'll be submerged 99% of the mission time. But hey, it's not about seeing! It's about knowing, that you could see nice 3D visuals if you surfaced the boat (while your not going to do that ofcourse)! :know: |
You've done the internet equivalent of walking into a honky tonk bar and saying you're sick of steel guitars and sad songs, and you'd like to hear some rap music instead. :88)
We could have it WWI...:hmm: only the U-Boats would be more rickity and have no TDC...
Second thought, scratch that idea.:dead: |
PT Boats!
Because you know the 'other one' will never be released. :rotfl: |

Long shot, but has anyone ever played PT-109 from Spectrum Holobyte, released in 1987? That was a fun game.:cool: |

I'd love to see a WW2 RN subsim, hunting U-boats in the North Sea, sinking Rommel's tankers and closing the Malacca Straits. There would also be the chance to repeat Cdr Hezlet's feat of sinking the Jap cruiser Ashigara with 5 torps from over 4km away :rock:
