Hi Kimuraijn.
It is "Silent 3 Editor" by "Skwas" (S3D). You can go to the library and in Subparts change the reload time in the .sim file, obj_cannon.

I figured it out, I've been pressing delete to hide the entire interface. That was noted in the FOTRS manual lol....

After this is done i start the converting to SH4 V1.5 english version.
Sorry for that but job and real-life is the major thing i have to handle.

Maddy

Understand that. That was the reason I had to hand RFB off to Luke. Now, between work and teaching, don't have much spare time. I hadn't even fired up SH4 in months, or any other game for that matter.

Keep up the good work, I know how difficult it can be to KEEP a team together. Putting it together is easy in comparison. Once people realize how much work is involved, keeping them interested and on board is the true challenge.

My hope is that, if UbiSoft is abandoning the SH series, they'll let a team have access to the code for modification like Team Daidalos does for Il2. Or like the group that works on BOBII.

AOTD_MadMax 02-28-12 07:33 AM

Hello Captains,

i always have been asked of the release date.

The answer is quiet simple.

In 2008 when i started the work on FOTRS i never beleaved how complex FOTRS grow up in the future.
I started the work with the knowledge of SH3-Modding.
I used many Datīs with embedded TGAīs without any knowledge of the problems those kind of files will bring in future.

SH4 is an bigbored son of SH3.
Some files changed for better grafiks, for example the DDS-format.
Everybody knows that DDS-files are smaler then TGAīs.
FOTRS V2.0 got so many units and other parts that i have to shrink down the grafik-files for more stable run.
The last days i restructured all Datīs with embedded images to Datīs with external DDS-files.
The win is over 260MB on space.
The result ?
Now V2.0 runs very stable and the last things ( rewriting the campaign) could be done now.

The USS Tennesse is finished and i hope i can release V2.0 in the end of spring ore the beginning of summer.

Sorry for the long waitingtime but the engine of SH4 collaps with the old structure from older FOTRS versions and FOTRS should be an big but stable working Mod !

Her last pictures of the Tennessee after refit in 1943.

Max, you will release it when you release it. The devs who make Over Flanders Fields have a policy, that when people ask about a release date, they just say "in 2 weeks".

I can wait two weeks (wink wink)! But I anxiously await 2.0 since I am enjoying FOTRS as a "break" from TMO.
Thanks for all your efforts in advance.

Hello MAX
Could you add more sub hunter groups around ports?
In many ports there is no guard destroyers and attack is too easy

Just a quick question, and if it has already been answered please accept my apologies...

Will the environment mod in this supermod kill the framerates on an HD5450? And if so, how do I go about removing it? I'd like to play this mod but cannot live without antialiasing in lieu of better looking water and stuff like that. The antialiasing is sort of... "special" to me, yes? http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/pict...pictureid=5374

Important Specs:

CPU - Pentium D 805 2.66GHz
RAM - 2GB
GPU - Radeon HD5450, 1GB

Looks like a cool mod, but if the environment is gonna kill the frames I'd like to be able to remove just that part of the overall mod and keep the rest. :yep:

I have a machine with similar specs, but 4 Gb RAM, and FOTRS run as silk. You can test Pacific Environment 4 (PE4); adding this mod with JSGME. It seems the problem you have is the RAM. I use 4Gb patch (for my 4Gb RAM memory), without that, FOTRS go to CTD.

Regards.

rgr that, Fitzcarraldo. :salute: Do you know if 4GB of memory will work on a 32-bit Windows XP install? Wouldn't cost a whole lot to upgrade to that at this point. :hmmm:

Also, I read the documentation (:88)) and realized that the environment mod is a color mod, so maybe not actually texture mods? Giving it a try to see. Hope this works.

If you refers to PE4 mod, it is a complete environment mod, plus some optionals. Not so pretty as FOTRS enviro, though...but very acceptable.

4 Gb of RAM works in XP, with the 4 Gb Patch. For XP, there are some additional instructions for install the patch. See the thread of the 4 Gb Patch here at SUBSIM.

Thanks for your help. I'll have a look there. :DL

I just started a new patrol in FOTRS and no problems whatsoever. What was I so worried about? :haha: First impression: WOW! :o

Great job you guys! This rocks! :yeah:
