Let us know how your own supermod is going---oh wait, you don't have one. |
Experience should tell you that at 40 miles that is no radar contact. You're chasing someone's imagination, not a contact. Lots of times third party contacts aren't worth chasing. But you should already know that.

FOTRS is the most enjoyable of the super mods by my opinion and ive played over 300 RL hours with it and though there are a FEW things that are odd there overlook-able. I just want to say thanks to the creators of this one. I play with about a dozen mods running, mostly appearance mods. I can't think of a really bad thing to say about FOTRS at all. :yep::yeah:

Hello I was just wondering is there any more planned updates to fall of the rising sun since this mod is so great I was wondering if there is more stuff planned.

Hi Captains,
here 2 pictures of an new effect from the next upgrade. With permission from "Matz" of the LSH3-Team, i included an nice effect from LSH3 V5.0 into FOTRS. All ships of FOTRS shoot now red flares when they gonna sink. http://www.aotd-flottille.de/FOTRS/B...notraketen.jpg http://www.aotd-flottille.de/FOTRS/B...otraketen1.jpg If you have been visual detected by an merchant, they shoot white flares ! Hello Captains,
here some news about the upcomming upgrade of FOTRS ! Most US-Destroyers got their DD-Numbers on the hull. I worked it out for US-Destroyers in FOTRS. You can choose the Number of the Destroyer in the Missioneditor by selecting the Number in the loadout-configuration. For example : You wanne create a mission where the DD746 USS Taussig is within. Choose the Gearing-Class-Destroyer and select the 746 Loadoutvariation and you will see the "Taussig" in mission. Here some Pictures : 1.) DD 692 USS Allan M. Sumner http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...D692Sumner.jpg 2.) DD 696 USS English http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...696English.jpg 3.) DD 699 USS Waldron http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...699Waldron.jpg 4.) DD 727 USS De Haven http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...727DeHaven.jpg 5.) DD 746 USS Taussig http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...746Taussig.jpg 6.) DD 710 USS Gearing http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...710Gearing.jpg 7.) DD 711 USS Eugene A. Greene http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...D711Greene.jpg 8.) DD 716 USS Wiltsie http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...716Wiltsie.jpg 9.) DD 717 USS Theodore E. Chandler http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...17Chandler.jpg For the Campaign it is planned that historical missions will have the right Destroyers ! Hope you like it Regards Maddy |
Very cool!:salute:
Does the Captain's Log now reflect the Ship Name and Hull number rather then just? i.e. <Date>, <Postion> Ship Sunk! DD 692 - USS Allan M. Sumner, <tons> That way we can keep track of how often enemy deep dive salvage crew rez a ship...:haha: |
Hi Captains,
now the latewar Fletcher´s got their Numbers ! I also have reworked the Bridge to the modern style. Here the USS DD 660 Bullard : http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...660Bullard.jpg Regards Maddy |

In comparision to Trigger Maru .. This mod is far the best !! Seems I have more magazines of dud torpedeos While using TMO .. I am not very happy with that . After you spend a few hours of chasing ships and than getting yourself into postion than the work involved of plotting setting up your torpedos and than to have them bounce off the ship is very disheartining after this cruise i will put into port and than switch back to AOTD .
Thanks MADDY |

Hi Jim,
you are right, the 3D-Modells of the Numbers are to fat, i will rework them to make them more authentic. Regards Maddy |
Hi,
no i have reworked all Numbers ! After War the had big numbers but in WWII they had small numbers. I do my research here : http://abbot.us/DD629/fletcher/ Here now an example from USS DD 538 "Stephen Potter" http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...D538Potter.jpg Regards Maddy |
