this is the way. you have Ubi to thank for that feature. there is no fix that any of us have discovered. i remember the first time i encountered it. i forget which boat i was driving and it had one DG, forward. while in port, a new option appeared for two DG, one fore and one aft, and i probably had the same thought as you: i can man the forward gun and my crew can fire the aft weapon and we will rule the seas. imagine my surprise when we went to sea and i discovered that the only weapon i could direct was the aft weapon. Nuts. FYI, i stopped the mission, reloaded my in-port-save, and got rid of the second DG. good luck with whatever you choose to do. :Kaleun_Salute: |
Ja, Herr Kaleun!
Gonna push forward with 30 degree blind zone of my aft and a bunch of cowboys shelling out everything from a bow:arrgh!: |
Uncontrollable Flak gun
Finally ended up the fleet boat story.
Trying to play a new U-boat Mission campaign ran into a new issue: gaining 2500 renown at the start upgraded the 3.7 cm Flak SK c/30 to Automatic FK M 42 one. But... when it came to defend my boat from a Catalina raiding around found my Flak absolutely unable to control. :o Cause its barrel was tightly welded in between the railing of a fire pad... https://disk.yandex.com/i/ceEWTlj8sjd-6w Uncontrollable but .. ready to fire! In only one direction - on my boat poop deck.. https://disk.yandex.com/i/d-OQfcTTvDh-MQ Wether its an act of sabotage made by an enemy intel onboard or a graphics bug :06: it's up to you to decide. Folks! Any help would be appreciated:yep: |

even if you shoot one down, you will be inundated with additional aircraft until one of them sinks your boat and sends your valiant crew to Davy Jones' Locker. Dive the boat. observe through one of your scopes. surface when the a/c passes. good luck, Herr Kaleun! :Kaleun_Cheers: |

I fully agree it's a normal procedure to dive the boat when an enemy aircraft is detected. But sometimes availability of the flak is crucial for your survival. Especially when unable to dive due to some critical damage. Unfortunately one may come after being dive bombed by a puny corvette or ch-28.:hmmm: And as to my experience Flaks are of a real help when you deck awashed at night attacking enemy cargo or even a light ASW escorts. :arrgh!: Anyway it's a great shame to have such a barrel onboard and be unable to use it.. and loosing renoun to upgrade something inoperable can't be a lucky strike at that I guess...:wah: May be there's still a way to get it fixed..?:06: |
