R.U.S.E. is developed by Eugene Systems, a French company which not belongs to Ubisoft. They use Ubisoft only as publisher like they use Atari as publisher for their former games.
Ubisoft said yesterday in an interview for the German Gaming magazine PCGames that R.U.S.E is an exception, because the multiplayer part is based on the Steamworks API. For further own Ubisoft developments, the majority of the upcoming games will continue to use the Ubi-launcher DRM system. |
