Ya a good vietnam game would be awsome to have. Its dissapointing COD skiped Nam entirely. There have been a few attempts (vietcong was probably the best of them) but most have been pretty bad and featured too much constant combat with way to many enemies (i can understand hords of NVA and VC in base over runs. But most firefights involved far smaller numbers, and the VC would shoot and scoot, not sit there firing away untill you killed every last one of them.

I liked Vietcong, yes. But it somehow reminded me of a standard shooter. More night missions, ambushes etc. But anyway, I have to give kudos for the one mission where you have to cross the lake all by yourself in the middle of the night. God I was scared. :rotfl:

Try 'IronStorm' Gameplay is FPS WW1 warfare.

Im tired of the COD ww2 theme, modern warfare is a change, i just hope its not to simular to the battelfield 2 game othewise whats the point of getting it.

One vietcon mission where you run around in the tunnel flushing out the enemy. I did the whole mission in the dark it took me hours as i couldn't see 1 inch in front of me pitch black, then just as i neared the end, i accidently hit the L key and the flashlight came on :rotfl::rotfl:

140,000 downloads in less than 72 hours - UNBELIEVEABLE
Played it a bit but was never much impressed in COD single player games.
Multiplayer was always the way to go in the COD game series.....

I don't think it's out for another week or so.

I think it's going to be a cross platform release (PC, Xbox & PS3) and I think the US get's it on the 5th Nov with the EU getting it on/around Nov 9th.

Anyway, I came across some luck bugger who has it early for the PS3.

Screens have been grabbed by a digicam but still the quality shows.

The only thing that's playing on my mind is the single player campaign being approx 4-6hrs total. However, that's on normal, with the re-playability of the 2 other difficulty settings, I may not worry enough not to buy this. Besides, this game will come into it's own in MP with something like 12 different MP scenarios.

stabiz 10-30-07 09:50 AM

4-6 hours?! :nope: Lazy bastards.

danlisa 10-30-07 10:13 AM

Well, COD3 only represented about 6-8 hours continous play and what with the added GFX & Sound improvements, I can understand the reduction in campaign length as it was probably dictated by storage size & cross platform compatibilty. I suspect the PC version will be expanded further though. Please bear in mind though, these are tentative figures from 1 source who has the game early.*

The COD franchise has always been on the short side but the game (as I said) makes up for it in MP mode.

I can't currently think of another game which offers approx 12 different MP scenarios. Don't think I can even think of 12.

* Nope, I've checked. 4-6 hours is about right. However, the general concensus is that it's worth it. Immersive and graphically beautiful. Might be a rental before I shell out £50 GBP.:-?

Couple more screens.

How do these compare to the PC Demo? I realise the colour is a little off but that's due to the camera.
