Yes! What is the environment used? In my installed FOTRS version, I like the water, but TMO 2 environment is better looking and have pretty colors (for me).

Is the environment of FOTRS new version different?

Many thanks! Watching the UBM 1.5 english version...:yeah:

A couple of questions. 1) The crew on the bridge of the sub seem to be transparent. I can see through them. Is this a known issue? Can it be fixed?

2) Perhaps it was a feature of Trigger Maru overhaul, but I seem to remember being able to move around with the mouse in the conning tower, command center and bridge and being able to interact with certain items/controls from there.

Is this not an option in this mod?

For point 2: TMO 2 includes the Vickers Interiors. You can download the Vickers Interiors in SUBSIM download section. FOTRS donīt include that interiors mod; I tell AOTD MadMax to include the mod in the new version.

I use the camera.dat file from TMO 2, also.

For the point 1, I havenīt that problem in FOTRS.

Best regards and welcome aboard!

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Kanji on those hulls is upside-down. Assuming the character on the right means "large/great", it's definitely upside down:

I don't recognize the other two characters, but they appear to be similarly inverted.. maybe the guy painting them was hanging over the rail? :DL

i must say that you and peabody are great moders...you have give your hearts at work huh;) on to my question now...what ships are playble in quick missions? and forgive me if i forgot to mention other good moders name ok?

HMCS 03-05-11 03:48 PM

Yes, the characters are upside down. I can write a little Japanese.

What other mods are compatible with FOTRS? I'm thinking specifically about Maxoptics for TMO.

andy_311 03-05-11 08:52 PM

So are these updates in the present version of 1.3 or is it still wip am asking because i got version 1.3 and non of my ijn ships display any hull numbers etc.

HMCS 03-05-11 09:07 PM

ok, I started a career as new construction in '42, it asked me to phone Pearl Harbor and now I'm being sent for another live fire torpedo practice mission.

What gives?

p.s. Battery recharge is too slow- a Gato recharging 2% per hour at ahead standard? That doesn't sound right to me!
p.p.s. you also need a shortcut key for "set radar depth".

Playing a Gato in ver. 1.3

Day / Night Reversed

My clock is about 12 hours out in the game. I get daytime when it should be night. Any ideas of how to fix this?

CDR Resser 04-10-11 04:36 PM

Remember, the clock is fixed to time at your home port. You are sailing across several time zones, so daylight and dark may not always correspond to your clock.

You are right, it is wip.
In case of many problems with the german upgraded version for SH4 V1.4 without UBM, i decide to make a new full version V2.0 for the english community.

Maddy

Maybe a Time Zone Clock MOD showing multiple clocks to pick from so you can match sunrise to a time you are more familiar with while in patrol zone is needed?:sunny:
I forget terminology for local time and command time. Something like Zulu and Bravo.

fitzcarraldo 04-11-11 06:09 PM

Are there some news about the new version of FOTRS? It is live?

Best regards.

That is an excellent idea. Zulu refers primarily to Greenwich Mean Time or Universal Coordinated Time- the time at 0' Longitude. Aviation and Nautical timekeeping are based on UTC and local time is calculated from that basis. Not really sure of a phonetic designation for local time.

Hello,

here are some screens of the Porter-Class DDīs which i have reworked.
The guns are totally remapped for that US-DDīs coming up in that old noncamo paintsheme.

http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...orter_neu1.bmp

http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...orter_neu2.bmp

My friend "Der Frosch" from, german Ubi-Forum give me the permission to use his the open ring mounted 5inch reargun for my Bagley Class DDīs.

http://www.aotd-flottille.de//FOTRS/...agley_neu1.bmp

It is an hard work, more then i have calculated for the FOTRS-Version but it i will make it nearly perfect.
The MK37 Director from SH4 turns only still around like an normal radar but in the new version of FOTRS this Director and all optical Directors will be pointed to the targets like the guns.

Regards

Maddy
