Ok, a little problem here - my forward gun is missing (it's the one that's supposed to be mannable) and the gun commands tab in the interface is greyed out. On a quick glance through the thread, I don't see any immediate answers to that...
Tried it in all mod combinations including just stock 1.5 + pocket BB and nothing else - still the same thing. |

It's weird, doesn't quite make any sense right now. I tried other playable ships and they work just fine... But no forward turret on this one. I'll keep looking... :hmm:

A word on Ammo
The levels on ammo on this Pocket BB's where limited. Remember, those ships where 15500t now - those 28cm tripple turrets where 590t each (!) - not to mention hull, armor and tons of diesel fuel.
Taking 105-120 shells per barrel for 28cm that's 216t (120x300kgx6 barrels) + the powder charges which where metal casings (not the lighter cotton bags of the british)! On to the 15cm battery again 100-150 per barrel = 54.36t again + charges. 6200 shells for the 8,8cm flak and 60000 (!) rounds 20mm you end up with like 400t of ammo alone! :yep: You better remember where those supply ships and bases are or you will and up without ammo. Which is a fair deal, held against the near invincibility of the Scheer going against a normal convoy. That kind of fire power on a Cruiser sized ship comes at a prize. We are all lucky that SH4 doesn't take food and water in account or your pocket BB crew would be on half rations long before you run out of ammo. In RL the challenge of those Pocket BB commanders where resource management and to avoid superior forces. As SH4 doesnt send hordes of BBs and CAs after you as the Brits did in WW2, you're left with resource as a limit...taking that away will ruin the game imho. |

Hi mate! I donwloaded your ship. You have done an awesome great work. The damage model is ok and so id the gunnery. Only a little problem: The aft AA gun is not usable because it is pointed down: it fires in the water and I can not hit anything (except fishes:rotfl: ). What can I do to fix this?? |

I noted a strange thing however...the issue with the flak happens only with the standard 2cm flak c/30 single barrel. If I install the Zwilling (dual barrel improved) then it works perfectly.
I was wondering if the source if the problem may be the fact you (or Mudpigs?) cloned the german 20mm flak c/30 to make a NPC flak weapon. I searched all strings in the sim files of stock and modded flak guns but everything seems to be normal. For now using a flak gun better than the poor flak c/30 seems to be a solution;) |
