Hmm, that could be a good idea. I was thinking about making a few missions about the bombing of Vienna using the Eastern Alps map, it's big enough so the bombers can base around Northern Italy instead of having an airstart.

You might try the norway map and do some low level "dambuster" type missions. I tried something waaaay back and it was pretty atmospheric to fly between the mountains looking for your target in the dark. :yep:

Aye, we can also use the Halifax to do high altitude anti-Tirpitz missions.

Schroeder 08-18-09 08:01 AM

Bombers need escorts, and if we fly around Britain I just nail in those Spitfires to do the job.:03:

Pfft, escorts are overrated, bombers have no need of them...

Yes they do, to give them a false sense of safety

As a Bomber we always have to cry out loud about the lousy job you fighters deliver :D

Which is exactly the reason why all fighter pilots should be conscripted into the land army and used as poorly-equipped shock militia for storming heavily defended positions with no hope of success.

Schroeder 08-18-09 01:58 PM

Er, I thought we did that during WWII. Just that the pilots were poorly trained shock troops sent up against huge bomber formations with even huger escort with no chance of success.:hmm2:
