K2, this excellent news, W_clear did the right thing for you.
A big  from me to both you and W_clear for what you are doing for us here.

Thanks

Is this a shortcoming of the lighting engine or just the You Tube doing that? Just wondering?

 Great work and really looking forward to the release.

Thanks Wilcke, I think it's the clouds shadows? can you be a little more specific, maybe point out a time in the video?

Nah, forget it, either a cloud shadow or a limitation of the camera angle, its very variable, I do a lot of screen shots for testing of other MODS and it drives me nuts as even a small change can really make the picture look so different.

The work is great and looking forward to its release.

They actually sell tapes/DVD's of fires in fireplaces for people without same to run on their TV screens for "atmosphere"....so why not simply set your Sub sailing into the sunset and let it 'play' while you and your gal snuggle, sipping a tropical drink...watching the sun set, the moon and stars appear, listening to the gentle throbbing of the diesels...while romantic music (current or from 'Yesteryear') plays on your "Grampahone"... Especially if you can run SH4 with a Large widescreen TV display, I think it would be a knockout treat/surprise for a Finale or Opening of a 'Date'. Better than Etchings. You could even set a route to take you close by an island or two, and when the seagulls appear above you, any date will Oooo and Ahhhh, and melt.

I'm actually serious. Wish I were younger. <sigh>

The folowing have received the newest files for testing:
RDP, Skwasjer, Svdw, Torp, KapitanZurSee, Gunfighter

BTW you should enable the files I send to you on top of any previous ROW PE mod.

If the test goes okay I will release the mod anytime now.

Great news, kriller2!
Well, since I honestly don't think the environment can get any better now, maybe you should try your hand in improving another game...?

Heck, even this pic below pales in comparison to SH4 with ROW/PE:

You're up to the challenge? :rotfl:

Hello boys and girls, I'm pretty new to mods for SH4 and I wanna say that this is awsome mod you made kriller2. I got those 4 files you are providing, instaled them in that order but I don't think I see much difference from stock game (I could be blind and stupid also).

The only files that I have instaled are:
1. ROW pacific Enviroments 1.1alpha
2. That new scene file
3. ROW sounds vs 9
4. Patch 1.2 for Pacific Enviroments 1.1alpha

This is the exact order I installed them, and if that is the corect order that means I'm doing something wrong. So, can a nvidia owner can help me twink the setings for the video card?
What I got Proc: core duo 6750, video card is 8800 GT (and I got the latest driver and that is 169.21), 2 GB ram (A-Data vitesta Kit), 22'' monitor and I'm using the higher resolution. So if somebody knows what are best twinks for nvidia users for this game can help me out a little? Or how can I enable the sun glare and all that nice visual things? I'm a little lost over here...

P.S: The guys from the watch deck don't have eyes sometimes, or if they have the eyes are rly pushed back in the head. Maybe this info can help......

Thanks

I have an Nvidia 8800GTX 768MB card.

First, download and use nHancer to set your Nvidia card.

You can set up a profile, if you wish, for SH4. I simply set my "global" settings and use them....I only run three games/simulations and the global settings work fine for all.

Here are the settings which seem to work for most people, and definitely work for me:

The Pacific Environment MODs/Patches you named seem to be the most current and you seem to have them in the correct order. Try also adding the "Install sun flair for camera" MOD after those PE MODs if you want the sun glare which I think is not included in P.E. http://files.filefront.com/ROW+Textu.../fileinfo.html

My Rig Specs:
ASUS P5N32-E SLI
Dual core E6700 Cpu
2GB OCZ PC2 8800 (1100Mhz) RAM
BFG 8800GTX w/768MB Graphics card
Samsung SyncMaster 244T 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor 1920X1200 native resolution
Windows VISTA 32bit

 Ty very much Doolittle81 now I see a lots of changes and what great job kriller2 did

Ezethiel 03-26-08 02:11 PM

It's me again:

I got installed now:

1. TMO 15 (for U-Boat)
2. TMO_service Pack_1 Bravo
3. TMO_service Pack_2
4. TMO_Enable_UBoat_Ver2
5. TMO_Metric_SpeedChart_Nomo
6. Pacific Enviroments 1_1Alpha
7. Patch for pe1_2Alpha
8. PE 1_1 a3_new_scene_test

The problem is that when I dive I still see ppl on the watch deck :damn: . They look just stupid staying there underwater and watching thru binoculars....What can I do to remove that? or is something that I installed wrong?
