I am so pleased with your work and I thank u for that..

However, I have found these errors..

1. After upgrading to 3.7Cm FK M 42 Heavy flak gun, it doesn't not work properly in playing with uboat IXD2..
The standard 3.7Cm SK C/30 heavy flak gun seems to work just fine, but the problem occurs with 3.7Cm FK M 42 Heavy flak gun..
2. Sun rises at 03:00 am sometimes.. The time sequence gets all messed up due to.... I dunno..

I will PM you as well about these issues..

I just loaded up FOTRS and like what I see so far.

Just one thing, The chrono. I can't read the small dial for the stop watch.
The sweep second hand is ok but the small dial for the minutes is too small and the blue hand is invisible to me.

Is there an another Chrono. available for FOTRS?

Hi magic,

you can use the stock chrono or any other chrono for FOTRS !

FOTRS is only reworked on the US-Side.
I dindt have rewoked any file for the german subs, so this bug must be an bug of the stock game.

New Version 1.3 ist out !!!!!!
 
Hello Captains,

a new Version of FOTRS is out !!

Version 1.3 is an complete new Mod.
All Upgrades, Bugfixes and Carrier-Upgrades must be disabled and the new V1.3-Version should be enabled !!!

Changes :

1.) Campaign

- Some Bugs are gone
- little bit more Harbourtraffic
- more single merchants and small convois
- more and stronger subhuntergroups
- less japanese airplaines

2.) New Units

- IJN Akagai Carrier
- Whalechaser
- Akita II Class Freighter
- Old Fleettanker
- Wheelsteamer build by Rowi58
- reworked Equipe-Files of some japanese DD´s ( more K-Guns in late war )
- all Ships heavy reworked ( Reflections on Water )
- Messerschmitt BF 109
- Kawasaki Ki 61 Hien

3.) New Japanese Weapons

Some japanese Units got ship to ship Rockets from 1944.
Take care, they are very strong !!!

4.) Effects/Sound

- some new sounds and speech-files
- better graphics for explosions
- new Planesounds
- new sounds for stormy weather
- new Deckgunsound

5.) Other stuff

- resized dials for telegraph and divinggauges for better gameplay in small resolutions
- Ki-settings reworked

Had to come back and compliment everyone for the excellent work they have put into FOTRS, great job everyone.


Have two questions, the first one has to do with a Japanese Task Force I've encountered three different times in the Luzon Straits. This task force is made up entirely of Akizuki class destroyers, at least over 25 units. Every time I have encountered them as soon as they have passed the game play goes south. TC becomes totally on unusably as well as a terrible mouse lag. Eventually the games ends up with a CTD. On my current patrol I'm in the Luzon starits in late February, '44.


The second question has to to with the Kaga. Awhile back it was announced that a model was being worked on. Is this still the case?

hi, I'm trying to play this mod, but i realized that on the map it's all black, i'm not sure if a ships if enemy or not, everything seems black,

i know that's how it was, and it would require painstaking checking out and shadowing the vessel (fleet) to then go though the ID process,

but I'm not up for all that, i don't really have much playing time,
and simply put i find it more fun when the game tells me by colour coding the objects on the map,

does anybody know if I'm doing something wrong,

i saw the "ID target" option, but it never worked, and again i assume i have to get really close,

basically i want the map to colour code everything for me, RED, GREEN, & BLUE,

i hope someone can help,

i don't mind not have the trail line on the targets, using the marker pen and creating 3 - 4 marks then determine the direction, that's fine,

but i really don't have the luxury of time, and the RED,GREEN & BLUE really save a lot of time wasting for me,

hope some one can help,

Hi,

F.O.T.R.S. removed the colours and direction indicators for the contact icons in the map. You can return them by installing Nunya's EZplot http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...do=file&id=152 over top of F.O.T.R.S.. Check out Nunya's readme. It's close to stock, but not exactly the same.

You have to have Weapons officer assistance enabled in the main options page (which I'm guessing you do), and you have to "lock" the ship in periscope view (ID target doesn't seem to work in TBT/UZO view - least not for me) before your Weapons officer can identify the ship.

You "lock" a ship by centering the periscope cross-hairs on the target and hitting the "L" key. In poor visibility, or long distances the lock may not hold for long. It takes the Weapons Officer a few seconds to ID a ship, so under these conditions you may have to try several times before you get an ID.
