Same prediction for the SF 49ers last year. (from so called experts)

Thats what differentiates football from other sports in America.

It's like all the cliche sports movies you see. You just have to believe!:D

David Akers just tied a NFL record with a 63 yard field goal as time ran out in the half. It bounced off the crossbar and through. (It was amazing)

What was Philly thinking giving him up 2 years ago?

Niners defense is smothering the invincible GB offense.

So far at least.

Beat those cheezeheadz down!

Gargamel 09-09-12 05:57 PM

Yeah, but can he kick through the uprights twice with one kick? Future hall of gamer Phil Dawson did:

Yeah, I said it, future hof'r.

Yeah, I said it, future hof'r.

Nah, but I am sure he could if he tried.

He is the Chuck Norris meme of place kickers.

David Akers does not kick field goals, the uprights give him 3 points out of fear.:D

Barring an act of god Navarro Bowman and Frank Gore just gave the 49ers the win, against a much superior team, right NFL "experts"?

Keep underestimating the 49ers, Harbaugh and his boys thrive on that:woot:

Rodgers is a great guy, I respect him but....

Replacement refs should still be shot, bad calls on both sides, really bad.

Late flags, crap calls.

They called an illegal block in the back on the guy who got taken down, I mean come on?!

Our guys did well today. Rookies stepped up, all squads contributed to the win.

The guy on the lower right was pointed out by my boss (a Wisconsinite) as being the only real Packer fan in the picture, when I used this to make fun of him.:D

(Football is secondary to beer he claims.)

I'm not drunk officer, I'm from Wisconsin.:haha:

These stand in officals are nice guys from college games and all, but I have seen several mistakes from my side of the TV that did not get called and those mistakes would've cahnged the out come of the game.

They better settle this dispute soon or .... I don't really know what will happen, but it ain't fair that's for sure :arrgh!:

What gets me about the replacements isn't the missed judgement calls - I mean you can point to plenty of times the real ref's missed stuff like that. It's the not knowing the freaking rulebook. Calling the wrong penalty. Not knowing what to do when something is called. Not knowing the procedure for enforcing a penalty/ Things that a ref should know.

I loved watching Spillman being taken down from behind, then having an illegal block in the back called on him. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman both nearly mocked it (If they were capible of a sense of humor, those 2 are boring)

GB got screwed too, but not as many times as the niners did. (after all, they got a free touchdown, that almost cost us)

We still won, sorry Goodell. Your replacement refs couldn't fill your agenda this time.

These refs are bad. I can handle losing, but not losing to a "scab" refs bad decisions. Does the NFL pay these guys 7.25 an hour? I can tell.

The sheer amount of late flags killed me in the GB/SF game.
These guys do not know their asses from their elbows, and will put a taint on this season.

Today is Sunday! Football!

:Kaleun_Salivating:

Predictions?

I call for a one sided game in Candlestick. The 49ers defense will eat Detroit alive.

RG3 will not be doing is cute little griffining crap too many times today.
(Nothing annoys me more than the sheer attention unproven people get, one game and he is Joe Montana) Sure last week was fun, but reality will come crashing down, you guys are in the NFC east after all.:har:

I hate to comment on a game already in progress, but the Giants will be upset, by a close margin. They only went 9-7 last year, and if not for 2 fumbles from a rookie punt returner in the NFC championship, Eli and his big blue , would be as respected as the Arizona Cardinals.
They showed me nothing but luck last year, and lady luck never commits to one lover for too long.

nikimcbee 09-16-12 01:13 PM

Bearz got cheezwhizzed, but Rogers spent some quality time with the turf.:woot:

Kaleun 09-16-12 01:32 PM

As a Rams fan i'd be happy with 8-8; getting bored of these losing seasons, but even with Fisher in charge and the draft dealing, i reckon will be lucky to win more than 4

mookiemookie 09-16-12 02:58 PM

Awww wookit the widdle kitty cats. So cyooooote! Nice kitties. Nice harmless kitty cats.

I said the same thing about the 49ers last year. They may surprise you, considering the division games your Rams can fare well, due to it being so weak.

But looking at your schedule, I see 2 games against San Fran, the Pats, Jets and Packers.

Man I suck as a motivational speaker.

I am supposed to break ya down, and build ya up. I did the opposite.:timeout:

I guess I should just say keep the faith. They will disappoint you for awhile, then when they finally do amaze you it will be all the more special.

I am a Yankee fan, and the 49ers last year felt better than any title the Yanks ever won. Because they amazed me, did something I never expected. I was content with winning 8 games, I found myself with a 13-3 team, that came out of nowhere.

Keep the faith! It will be your turn one day!:woot:
