I knew I should've put a few smileys in my post, but I thought the machine gunning survivors comment would suffice. :)

Be that as it may, I think I do have the right to be a little angry at people telling me catagorically that the game would not work at all, then finding out diffirently.

I hit hall recomended except for RAM(by 512) Still only get about 20 FPS but this computer is a couple years old.... :-? Hopefully for my birthday I get a new computer, 800 bucks to build it and would probably save the people that are getting this computer 600-700 bucks as an incentive :p

But in all honesty, Fred, nobody here could really know for sure. With all the available info at the time of your original question, my response would have been that it's highly unlikely your card would handle the game.

This game really needs a mid range (or higher) PCI-e card in order to really appreciate it. I have a 7600 GT video card, 2 Gigs of Ram and a P4 3.0 processor. The game plays like a dream, but if I was lower on any one of those I'm sure I'd be looking at low fps and some stuttering.

well it runs on my unsuported GF 6200 looks good too.
i was going to upgrade but thought a xbox 360 would give me more fun :)
gfx cards are all nice and well but ive had poor luck with them in the past ( bought 3 2 were broken on arrival 1 burned out in no time) so im just happy this actually runs on my old rig.

3.8 p4, 2 gig ram and a 6800 ultra = single digit fps in harbours and a max of 28 when the going is clear for me. Of course, I could switch everything off in a bid to gain a few frames but the better idea is a new card! Hooray for excuses!

Don't you hate it when the computer you lovingly saved all your pennies for and played everything like a dream without a second thought suddenly decides it's had enough? Down with progress, thats what I say. Any word on Windows Vista for my abacus? bet it only works with 98....

Be angry all you want, Fred. Whomever told you that was probably trying to save you the frustration of getting the game and not being able run SH4 on your antiquated video card. That was probably correct info at the time. Usually when someone tries to help out, they don’t get slammed if they are mistaken.

Now, go get the game so you can come back and complain about how badly it runs on your video card :smug:

All I know is that I am waiting for my new system to arrive and the game box is sitting improperly on my desk. I wanted it to fit neatly on my stack of books, but it is sliding around far too much. I want my money back.

Probably it is off-balance due to all of the bonus materials you got that I didn't.

I would be willing to help you out by taking the bonus materials off your hands!

Fred....I've got a Leadtek 6800GT 256/256. Is my game playable ? YES. Am I happy how it runs ? NO.

Playable may very well mean low details, 20 fps. Well...can anybody say it's not playable ? NO. Does it suck ? YES. ;)

Doctor: I'm sorry, but we'll have to amputate.

Fred: OK.

Doctor: Wait a minute! Great news! There was a minor error in the lab work. No reason to amputate after all!

Fred: LIAR!!!!! I asked if I could keep my arm and I was told unequivocally, positively, absolutely no way!!! Now lo and behold I get to keep it! You bastage!!

You asked for free advice from the oh-so-reliable Internet and were told wrong. This does not come as a shock to me.

Not only were you told wrong, you were told wrong and cost you no money, no wasted time, and in the end, NOTHING except being pleasantly surprised. I fail to see how this is a problem. :88)
