We must seek perfection!

BTW, what's wrong with the Akula broadband, as I'm not sure the Beta testers are aware of this? :hmm:

There is a cheat with the akula broadband that allows you to click and click and click until eventually a contact will be picked up even if your sonar can't legitimately hear it. Same idea as the kilo narrowband cheat.

The problem with the Akula is as bad as I described. Any depth changes made result in the stern of the boat rising first, this is absolutely incorrect and should not happen. If not travelling at higher speeds while making depth changes, the TA WILL snap unless you go to flank, which reveals your position.. I am willing to document this in great detail. It should not be necessary to make incremental depth changes to avoid TA snapping, the plane control should not raise the stern of the boat first. It should not be making upward depth changes in a pitched down attitude.

I dare to question that. :shifty:

You know, this has never happened to me, although the pitch excursion is noted, and, of course, should be corrected... it has nothing been anything more than a cosmetic issue for me.

No no, Wildcat has a point. Its not a cosmetic issue.
I don't know about the other subs but the akula has problems with 1.03.
The ta issue is very real, and it snaps too easily even when changing depth at 3-4 knots.
You basically have to real in the ta, change depth and release it again. Up to 1.02 this wasn't necessary.
And don't let me start about the drunken planesman problem too.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen... I'm just saying that it doesn't happen to me... perhaps that is because I'm rarely moving at less than 5kts when I try to maneover.
