Molon, that's why they call Convergence Zones "Convergence Zones"....

There needs to be a signal at that range to converge. I don't think the Ruskies have been loud enough for that ever since they stole our quieting technology. Ships, older subs, maybe even modern subs putting on the steam--sure. Anyways, if there is an expert counter to this, post it over in the "layers" thread, let's give this one back.

Good golly, Miss Molly.

The patch greatly lengthens detections is some cases and greatly reduces them in others.

This is because the 1.03 patch is a complete overhaul of the sound propagation model. It now functions very realistically and has wide set of environmental parameters that influence detection ranges.
For a rookie russkie kilo pirate :) should i have this patch or would it be better for me to go back to the standard game. Ive just started playing with autocrew off since i updated to 1.03, so i wouldn't know if it would of been easier without the patch.

nice photo Skeem :rotfl:

Might as well practice with the patch. Doesn't really change the basic gameplay all that much, just fixes some bugs and reintroduces others (like diving rates).

Ohio subs are pretty quiet. You might want to practice against something louder like the Xia.

Ah yeah viewing pictures of half naked woman at work is not a good idea :D

Especially if the boss is female and shes standing behind you.

The Law of Survival ?
But I was joking (?) on such a serious topic as the ancient 'Battle of the sexes' and hoped
that you would appreciate, that 'de jure' was the female perspective, whilst recognising
that implicit in the phrase ''C in C House'' was the male 'de facto' acceptance of reality. :rotfl:
