Hi Fanuboat
The more ram you have will allow your system to do things more quickly and efficiently.
For example you can have a number of programs opened without your system slowing down or freezing.
Windows 10 has a voracious appetite for consuming ram.
In the case of LSH3-2015 it may be down to the amount of background activity that you do not see while the game is working.
SH3 uses the 4gb patch which allows a larger amount of game memory available especially with a 64 bit systems over a 32 bit ones.

Thanks for the explanation, and .... Stay away from win 10 lol very bad os.
Win 8 is actually pretty stable and fast, just avoid the windows update like always.
