You should verify the file structure is the same as in the stock game by using Windows Explorer to open the game folders. The mod folder structure should be the same, so JSGME can substitute the modded files for the original game files. If you have an extra layer of folders in there, JSGME cannot do it's job right.

I really have no idea what is going on with your game. The problem you describe is something no one else has reported. Most people consider that they are spotted too far away at night.

If this keeps happening, you might want to post some more detailed reports, so maybe we can figure it out.

You have to remember that some crews on vessels are very low. They will not respond like an elite crew will.

Since no one else has ever had this issue I can not see how you can conclude it is the mod. How did you determine there was a file wrong? Which file? What part?

When you installed everything did you do a clean install? If you didnt do a clean install to a clean game install there is no guarantee that the files are correct because without a clean install there is a possibility that your still using old files from a mod you had previously.

It might not happen but there is no true way of knowing without a clean install and a dirty one side by side to compare it too.

Yes, I did do a clean install. Could it help if I tell what I have the game's graphics set to and my monitor settings?

I can't say offhand what settings I have on my monitor. Most likely everyone will have different settings. The thing is I have mine so nights are dark. If the settings were too bright, it would appear to be twilight to me, but AI crews would see as though it were full night. Obviously, this would not be ideal.
