Hey, great news, SSN-781! Hope you have all your problems squared away. Good luck and good hunting!

Thanks!

Well it started crashing again but this time only for when loading save games for career. I can load single missions and the museum just fine and I can restart a new campaign. However I can't load a save without it crashing so I've decided to give up on GWX as my computer cant handle it (stupid low end non-gaming computer). Although I will miss some of the units and nice textures and better ship traffic, I'm going to have to let it go.

That is exactly the problem I was experiencing. Check out this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=205755 Maybe there is something relevant to your configuration.

I looked through the thread although I don't have the Wilmshaven mod or whatever it's name is. Should I install v6 of it? Also I noticed while I was playing that during the daytime in the game the sky was black instead of blue. Any idea as to what would cause that.

Do you use a 64bit OS? If not then use the 3gb switch. Uninstall your SH3 install, including your Docs folder. Sweep/clean your reg. Now install SH3, assuming you are using win vista/7/8, outside of C:/program files/ blah blah.

Now install GWX... Do not install any mods, this means even those included with GWX !!!

Run the game, try a campaign, save and load. I know all this is a complete PITA but we gotta nail this bugger somehow, and I don't think it's GWX per se that's the problem. You should be able to run GWX no probs from a straight install. Unless your H/W isn't up to it. So lets get back to basics :yep:

Best regards.
