I love blue cheese. Gorgonzola, too. Not a huge fan of semi-soft and spreadable cheeses like brie, but they can be good. Havarti is great, so is a good nutty pecorino romano or Asiago. Gruyere is a cheese of the gods...

Man, I guess I have a lot of favorites, eh?

It wasn't the sight of such a thing, but I could smell it from here! :O:

I like most cheese, the notable exception being Stinking Bishop. Without doubt that is the worst cheese I've ever tasted.

Other cheese have their moments, they can't all be eaten at any time. Whilst not my overall favourite - Halloumi has to be up there, it's a cheese, and tastes like meat!!! :rock:

Whichever you choose, make sure you have nice Port to wash it down with.

Couldn't agree more. That nice, thick cabbagey smell - loverly!

My favourites are, as always, Gorgonzola Piccante, A Tallegio, a good, strong Stilton and a good farm house chedder, as strong as is possible. Recently, these favourites have been joined by Pecorino Romano (Drier and saltier than it's siccilian cousin I find,) Manchego and Mahon.

I could live off cheese. Well, cheese and bread. Well, cheese and bread and wine. Ooh, and a few olives. And some marinated anchovies. and a couple of slices of copa. And maybe some artichokes....and marinated peppers.....

I still consider good cheese, wine and bread to be the hallmaks of true civilisation and far truer test of such than any amount of art or literature. Bring on teh Brie! :yeah:

A nice light to medium Cheddar or Cheshire and a dutch Edam ta very much.

And yes its that "cheese" which is so special it deserves its own category as its unfair to measure it against cheese.
