You could also try the full version and see if the errors are the same.
Maybe your file unpacker is corrupted too?
Did you try using the TDW's validator application in his newest Ui mod?

Thanks again for your kind support Rongel

* I already tried the full version, no luck.

* Unpacker - I've got winZip, ZipGenius and 7-Zip. Do you think one of these would be more reliable than the others?

* Thanks for reminding me about the Silent Hunter 5 validator - I'm running it right now, let's see what it comes up with.
I'll get back with the report.

So far I've today been struggling with the JSGME and -

Well, that's it so far, I'll be back with the Validator report.
Thanks again for your support

Not sure what is happening her SSteel:doh:

You could try the following:-

Use JSGME to unistall all mods
Delete your MODS folder form SH5 dir (Copy from your MODS folder all the mods you want to keep first)
Run JSGME (this will make a new MODS folder)
Add TDWs UI and OHII only to MODS folder.

Run game a test without any mods installed. If ok-
Add TDWs UI - test again - if ok-
Add OHII - test again

If you still get the issues with only these two mods-
Run JSGME valitador and post report
Run SH5 validator and post report

As for the install of the JSGME you can see the outcome in post # 16 above

I've run the NewUIs TDC 6.8.0 + OHII now, same result
And I've run the NewUIs TDC 6.8.0 alone - runs like a charm :D

As I write I'm running both the SH5 Validator and the JSGME mod Validator
I'll be back ASAP with the reports.

It's in moments like this you really realize what it means to be a member of such a supporting community like Subsim is.
It's a comfort to know you're there. :yeah:

BACK IN BUSINESS

Praise the Lord,

I'm still not quite sure why but it's running :D

I think the reason to all this was an evil alliance between;
* a corrupt JSGME install (thanks again for this tip)
and
* that weird location of the .ini file as I had no luck until I started to track it down.

If I hadn't got the advice to look into the JSGME I don't think I would have solved it.

Thanks again for your support
(I've cancelled my appointment with the shrinks)

Hooray! :woot:

Fingers crossed... If all works, at least you have been a good example case, if this should happen to somebody else. :D

Silent Steel 10-26-11 05:54 AM

Still overwhelmed.
I'd never made it without you guys :D
Hope I can be of any assistance to you in the future.
My very, very best regards
