You are certainly right about that. I came back to SHIV several months ago and I'm still finding new Mods every day. Since I had not bothered to keep current, I was amazed and perplexed trying to decide which ones I wanted...which ones would work. The good thing is that with JSGME you can almost painlessly try the majority of them to find out which ones are keepers...it isn't like once you install one you are stuck with it... |
Seminole,
I'll (re) read the deck gun uses thread; as far as mods and JSGME go, I'm just now beginning to comprehend the flexibility afforded to 'Joe User' in tweaking the game and it excites me greatly... Sniper, Near the end of the thread, a few posters chimed in stating that NSM has worked with their 1.5 versions. :hmm: |
NSM works fine with 1.5, but it doesn't change US ships. IJN ships will sink realisticly, others will (probably) show stock behaviour. Stick with US campaign to be safe, or disable NSM through JSGME when you want to play German campaign.
I feel like I,m repeating myself. :hmm: Oh wait, I am! |
Can anyone tell me exactly where I should install JSGME within my SH4 folder?
C>SH4>________ ? I have gone through the proper (?) steps noted earlier in the thread and installed JSGME in the main folder of SH4; a 'MODS' folder was created there as well as the JSGME file. The JSGME install help text directs one to install the program in the 'base folder' of the game desired to mod; I have done so and cannot get a simple mod to work (tried WEBSTER's photo mod as my guinea pig). I apologize in advance for the basic nature of the question... |

Basically it should reside in the root file of the game you wish to use it for... in my case E:/programfiles/ubisoft/Silent Hunter 4/JSGME |
Thanks for the verification, SteamWake.
