I speak Brooklynese, even South Brooklynese with British accent.
As soon as I started to speak in local language ( aborigines call it American English) I started to gain weight , then i started to use british pronunciation in several words and I lost 10 pounds.

I speak English and just last July suffered a heart attack. What more proof could anyone need?

I hope you getting better. I dare to give you stupid advice , i hope you forgive me for that. Stop watching any TV news ( FOX/CNN etc) and have a long walks on the ocean shore ( preferably with your dog, best companion, who always will share all your ideas, and you re finally a God for it).
My dog was bilingual . She barked fluently in 2 languages and reached human level of 77 years( 11 dog's) . She ate everything, smoked passively a lot, shared my love forl ong legs creatures.
P.S. Start speak in British way ;-)
