The 320mb model, I believe.

I have it running on both an 8600GTS (desktop) and a 8600M GS (laptop).

Wow, and you can run SH4 at playable frame rates? I've got a similar system (Athlon XP 2800+, 1.5Gb of DDR, Radeon AIW 9800 Pro) and I've never considered SH4 because I figured it would be a slide show. I'm enjoying SH3 with GWX 2.0.

Obviously I could use a hardware upgrade, but is SH4 realistically out of reach for my current system? :hmm:

I have an NVidia GeForce 7600 GT, like someone before.

Noticed a few things wrong...(For instance I don't see oil slicks on the water, I don't know what that's about), sometimes when the external camera is right at the edge of the water, I can see all the way to the bottom without any fog or blue coloration.

But the game doesn't crash or go into funky colors or anything. So I'd say this card is pretty much fine to play with, though it could be better. :-?

Direct X 10 Question

If a GeForce series 8 graphics card listing shows:

"DirectX: DirectX 10"

Can it be used with WinXp & on Direct x 9 games?

All DirectX10-compatible cards are also compatible with DirectX9 and XP, and most will be as good or better than the fastest DirectX 9 cards. I have an 8800GT 512 MB and performance is superb.

As of right now, I'm leaning towards either a XFX GeForce 8600GT XXX 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card for $80 or a XFX GeForce 8600GTS 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card for $120.

I'm not sure if the extra $40 is worth buying a 8600GTS!!

EVGA 7900 GTO NO/OC, lowest FPS i've seem was 23 FPS in the middle of a tast force with a carrier exploding. After the explotion was over the FPS goes up to 48. Everything maxed except the grainy effect, don't like it.

Had a MSI X1900XTX 512 mb card an it kept freezing in base everytime I went to the promotion screen.
