Its no different than if you were in GW & go up against others in a PVP match. Except in WoW its free to roam and kill the enemy at random. With no mercy whatsoever:lol:

I had this funny incident tonight I came across a player that just didn't know when he was beat he chase me all the way back to base only for him to get ganked a 3rd time:rotfl:

In outlands while i and my pet were questing along comes this gnome on his machanical mount, jumps off and starts attacking my pet - my cat was attacking another character so he must of thought getting him out of the way is the best option then take care of me. I laid a freezing trap moved back and started firing away cat also hassling him, he then comes running for me walks right into the trap. I then call my pet and get ready no gnome is going to gank me today - I use itimidation on cat send him off fire a Aim shot while cat is hassling him, then Concussion shot, and a few others in no right order in fact i just went ballistic with the keyboard and hit all the numbers bind to my shots hoping sooner or later hes going to go down. The gnome is lvl64 im 61. Anyways he goes down. I quickly mount and head back to base as i got this feeling this battle aint over he'll want to avenge his death and the Alliance flight path is very close. So im riding back to Thrallmar looking behind me to see if hes following, nope. Then just before i get to base i dismount & seconds later i see him again, he dismounts and starts attacking me, my cat hassles him, i lay another freezing trap and move back surely he aint going to fall for the same trick again yet he walks right into it. LOL. I then run to base which is just a few yards. He wont try it when im in base. Wrong he runs in trying to get me i send cat to attack and npcs attack him. He dies again. 5 min later im in base and i get stunned the dudes back in stealth form this time he nearly gets me but i fire a flare which he shows up and the npc close by kill him


Hard to explain in words but i was laughing at his downfall. Usually you get ganked you accept it and move on. This guy was in a rage:rotfl:

Apart from gold and glory do you get anything else for killing random people? Do you find you have to go round in a group to stay safe?

You dont get any gold for killing others not that i know off unless when your 70 and doing raids you do? Not quite sure. You get Honor points if they are round the same lvl as you or higher does help to be with a group or your guild but alot of the time the ganking is one on one or two on one. Raids on camps is a group thing. A place called Nessyway which is a tiny camp in Stranglethorn vale both sides can do the quests given there. So alot of the time your got the Horde and Alliance in this camp getting quests usually alot of ganking goes on here and its groups v groups it can't be helped its like two waring gangs turning up at the same place they dont want to fight then someone from one side wont beable to control himself and attack the other side and thats it let the ganking begin everyones going crazy ganking each other.

I mean We are the Horde we are the Master race the rest are subhumans they must be eliminated! :rotfl::rotfl:

Well, given WoW another go. Decided to be a Night Elf Hunter but later changed to a Dwarf Hunter (Not sure why, just did :p) and I have to say I am enjoying it. Still in two minds though if I actually want to go ahead and not only buy it but also pay monthly to play the game.

I'm enjoying running round and doing the various quests but also having the profession of a blacksmith and mining everything I can find to create armour I can flog for plenty of cash ;)

Even though I am enjoying it I'm finding it a little repetitive. The constant fighting, getting into trouble with my health running low, running away, regenerating, fighting again...etc etc

I understand that raids would make it much more exciting but I'm a bit of a loner when it comes to RPG games (Go figure why I play MMORPGs :doh:).

Will play until the end of my 10 days then I will give a final verdict. At the minute though, even though I would like to pay for it, I think I would leave it.

Yeah the early stages can put you off the game, once you get to 20 and higher (30 more like it) the game gets interesting enough to stay everything starts to fall into place and your see why so many ppl play it. Are you on a PVP or normal servers. Also if you stay with the game i recommend you get the expansion Burning Crusade. You get to play the Bloodelf or Dranei but once any character hits lvl58 your get to go to the Outlands in BC. There your make a lot of gold. :yep:

I have a night elf on the normal servers but have started a Dwarf Hunter on an RP server. Can't see anything different to a Normal server though.

Might even start one up on a PVP server and get wiped out pretty quick :o

I'd recommend finding an easy-going guild and joining them. Even if you like to solo a lot, they're always a big help and often a good source of amusement while you're playing. That goes for any MMO, really.

Very unlikely your get ganked at low level, usually if you come across a horde he/she will ignore you cause your lvl wont give them any honor. Although you might come across one bastard that will gank you cause they hate Alliance so much :rotfl:But i rarely got ganked when 1 to 30 once i was in my 30's though and headed to Stranglethorn Vale for quests that when the killing started.

Well seeing as the game is very cheap in ASDA/Walmart at the minute then I may purchase it and give it a month if I can reach lvl 20 on my trial.

Had a guild in Guild Wars but they never got into the Guild Battles and I found it quite boring just doing quests.

But to be fair to WoW I am enjoying mining away and making armour! Profession system is excellent.

:up: Engineering is another great profession you can make weapons -guns, dynomite, scopes, goggles to many to mention and later on your own Mount. Engineers is a profession of its own, what you make only u can use. Although you can sell some but most are for engineers only.

You can create some weird looking gadgets some dangerous to use eg some will at times explode without any warning when using them. lol

I have a level 70 Night Elf Hunter and a few that are still in their 20s including a Dwarf Warrior Engineer who has less IQ than a doorknob and has enough explosives to blow up Stormwind...not a good combination.:rotfl:

I play over on Elune,but I'm going to be closing both my WoW and Star Wars Galaxies accounts so I can free up the cash to subscribe to POTBS and Age Of Conan.(When it gets released that is.). I do plan on returning to WoW when their next expansion comes out though.

But what I'm really looking forward to is Bioware's upcoming MMO. It was supposedly the deciding factor on EA buying Bioware...so it must be a killer game even in the stage it's in now. I still think it's going to be a MMORPG based on the KOTOR universe,but we'll see in 2009.

WoW never pulled me in, im not a fan of the whole swords and magic sort of thing and I think its overrated. Now EVE on the other hand, amazing game, especially with the new update, its easily the best looking MMO around.
