Harrassing the poor shmoes who answer Ubi's phones and making unreasonable demands is honoring someone's memory?

I think this idea is seriously flawed. In the first place, just because someone creates a thread about what he'd like to see in a new patch, and then invites others to contribute to the thread, in no way obligates the Devs to read the thread or incorporate any of the ideas expressed in it into a new patch.

The Devs will frequently scan this Forum to see what ideas and thoughts are being expressed here. If they had wanted a thread created containing a list of top ten requests for patch 1.4, then they would have asked Neal or a Moderator to set it up.

To bombard Ubisoft with irritating, demanding and unwanted phone calls regarding patch 1.4 is counter productive to future relations with them. Let this nonsense die.

Personally I see it as a waste of my time. The game is perfectly playable with patch 1.3. Can it be improved? Sure can just like anything else in life. If a patch comes then I'm in the bonus. If it does not come, I'm still good.

my thinking is that, if SH3 was patched to 1.4, where is the sense that SH4 would be left abandoned to just float along. as for what the OP suggests. i think all it would do is annoy those who answer the calls, tho they'd be polite about it and that TDK is right, tho i hope he's not refering the the thread i put up about 1.4 fixes remaining:-?

And why should I do all this work for 'improvements' (as listed above) that have nothing to do with the improvements that I would like to see added?

Those of us who payed attention knew 1.4 was a distinct possibility. Throwing a tantrum and making threats would be a good way to get all support stopped.

When you get right down to it,after the last call in/e-mail campaign for 1.3,doing it again would have no doubt convinced ubi that doing sub sims would be more trouble than they are worth.

as for what the OP said about DBW and using that, i think it quite insensitive to use someones untimely death to further their own ends, even if it would benefit the majority. i'ld preferr the devs put out a patch on the merit of whether or not one is needed, not because it what the OP thinks DBW would want. for all we know, he might've thought things are fine as is, and if a patch did come along, well so be it
