Better still  |
I think we'll stick to the more traditional Policing methods thank you. Under the present system, mistakes can sometimes be rectified :yep:

Oh I dont know
Now imagine that little show and tell at PM question time :rotfl: :rotfl: |
So many subjects here, dunno where to start
Irish Haulage guy ? Well, the driver should be aware that he'll get the book thrown at him for this Prisons ? There is an outcry for more of them but 'not in my backyard' syndrome kicks in here. No matter where you want to build them, somebody will complain when it reaches the planning permission stage. As for using redundant oil rigs, some Prisoners will suffer sea-sickness or similar and complain about there human rights being exploited. [can't have em' suffering can we ?] Police and sentencing ? It is not down to the Police Force what sentence the bad guy receives; why people think that and blame them is beyond me ?! Motorists ? I have recently moved back to the rat-race and discovered everybody is in such a tearing hurry, so much so that I see a near miss / potential accident on a daily basis here. Yes, daily. And in conclusion .. Hakahura and his location description ? Believe me, I know the feeling |
Shoot em, I say :rotfl:

Lets be honest now. People are being arrested and taken to court for putting their feet on the seat on a train, when Irish haulage drivers are left to get away with transporting a dock container on an ordinary flatbed**. What the hell is wrong here?! There is a diffrence between trailers, flatbeds are completely flat flooring have streghtend bars under the flooring and a wooden floor, container trailers are like skellingtons hence why they are called Skellys they have the locking mechanisms on 8 points of the trailers and just look like a container shell. *This is in no way a generalisation. She was a woman ** You're supposed to have locking mechanisms on the corners and middle of a dock container to stop it from sliding off the flatbed. This trucker had neither. If he didnt have any swivvle locks on his container and he has managed to hit the open road with it still on the back of the trailer id be quite shocked, bear in mind its incredibly difficault to see the acctual locks from the road, you have to be near on close up to see them, and whats more is when they come off the ships all the skellys (trailers) have them fitted pre ready. |
I'm going on what my dad said at the time, he works in haulage. We couldnt see any external locking mechanisms on it, but there may have been some under the container, needless to say we didnt want to be behind him long :P

I had a situation where I was going up a hill on a dual carriagewaywith the wife and kids in the car, there was this motorcyclist which when I looked in my mirros was way back. Anyway I pull out and am passing this 1970's cortina which was doing 50 and I was doing near to 70 when this guy on the bike is right up my arse.
Anyway he's flashing his light and everything so I pull in front of the other car having completed my move. This idiot then drives right alongside me giving me the fingers then nips infront of me brake testing me. So here I am hitting the brakes, as he repeatedly brake tests me with a 4 year old, 6 month old and my wife in the car and another car behind me. I got his number and went to the police. they knew who he was, went and had a word and he said he was sorry.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF. If there had been no kids in the car I might not have hit the brakes. Then he'd be sorry. But so would I as I would be in jail. Going slightly OT, what would the penalty be if I am doing 70 on the dual, some a-hole is right up my bum, flashing his lights and all and I just happened to hit the brakes and he goes into the back and spins me off the road? |
