done first patrol with type IIA, sink a V&W class. back to port. ready to 2nd patrol.
so fun to see this ship flying on rough sea. :haha:
but i think the tower is too tall for the ship. so top of tower will appear on surface at periscope depth.

Welcome Aboard :salute:

I did my first successful career in a Type II (and my first using SH3 Commander as well), I need to do another one now that I'm using GWX, a Black Sea campaign would be a nice change of pace. Then I'll go the opposite end of the spectrum and do a IXD2 Monsoon campaign.:arrgh!: First I have to end my current career (VIIB U-55 in 1940) , it's been so long since I finished one I'm not starting any others until I do.

One thing I did like about the Type II is I often did patrols in one evening. Doesn't take long to shoot those 5 eels sometimes. Get back to the beer and frauleins quicker:rock:

Type II Career

Well after a very long R&R and my Hard Drive blowing up so having to reinstall SH3 as well as GWX3 and SHCmdr plus the Mods I had previously, I'm now back as skipper in my UBoat II.

I intend to continue as long as I can in this type until I either survive the war (unlikely) or spend eternity in Davy Jones' Locker (more than likely) :arrgh!:

Wish me luck and good hunting!

:salute:

Back after one of several lengthy breaks. I usually return to the canoe for my reindoctrination.

Subsim has a special place in my heart. I can't help but find my way back.

I will say, going through old threads like this brings back insane memories.

Thanks iv been playing sh3 for years and I love my type 2A I feel that they get a bad rap for only having 5 torpedoes but I manage to sink smaller ships with my 20mm and save the torps for bigger ships

:Kaleun_Salute: thanks for the help by the way!
