Due to Rhinitus I'll have to give tonight a miss. See you all on Friday :salute:

I'm still far away from what I would call "combat ready". This Track IR thingy is starting to annoy me. I've finally calibrated it in a way that it works as expected but whenever I'm in a dogfight aiming on someone or on final approach before landing I screw up because I don't hold my head totally still.
Maybe I will get used to it in time but if I can't fight and land as reliably as I could with NewView within the next two weeks this thing goes straight to ebay.:-?

Is this you trying to sound clever with latin words?

This from wikipedia

"Rhinitis, commonly known as a runny nose,"

Come on, be a man.......(I know that is hard coming from the South of England.):rotfl:

Patience!! herr Schroeder..in a few days you'll be landing your crate with your head hanging over the side of your cockpit, watching the wheels :DL

I don't have the vector expansion (yet);).

Oh boy, I tried to land the Hellcat on a CVE now several times. 40% ended with the loss of the aircraft (damned extra cables on the deck that won't slow you down before you reach the end of the carrier and won't allow you to go around:damn:), 40% with a heavily damaged aircraft (who needs a landing gear anyway?) and 20% ended with a nice landing that left the plane intact (wonder what I made wrong there:o).
All in all it is insane to let Hellcats operate from these things (could be a Golfplatz idea:D). I hope we get a better carrier soon or I would rather go back to wildcats than seeing my plane being destroyed on almost every landing.

You think the Hellcat is bad? Try the Corsair...

Actually I found the Corsair to be easier to land.

BTW I think I've found my personal style now. Three landings in a F6 without crash and three in a F4 without crash.
You just mustn't stick to historical procedures.:D
