hello, I am eager to test out your mod, however im having trouble downloading this mod- it always times out. Is there any torrent of this mod?

Hello brett25,

NO, there will be no torrent available by the team for LSH3V5.
As far as possible we want to keep control over the DL-files.

In most cases DL interrupts a few minutes after every full hour. If you start your DL, let's say 4 or 5 minutes after the full hour, the DL should work fine.

hello,LSH3-DEV-Team,thx for your excellent work. i m an exprienced player but new to mods.

i dnload LSH3 but maybe it's too heavy for my poor machine. the big problem to me (just to me) is, very long loading time, 25 fps in harbor, and lag in high TIME COMPRESSION (no more than 128x along the coast).

so, i blame these to the 16KM feature. in GWX, it contains 2 sub mods for switching visual range and harbor traffic, very useful for low end machine. are LSH3 team interesting in providing such mods?

or, i have SILENT 3DITOR for reading scene.dat, maybe u could teach me whitch value i should edit. i have tried to compare to GWX files all9long, but have no idea.

appreciate it if u could help.:salute:

and a bug, all the Germany flag on ships show blank circle, without the famous "ss" symbol. nobody noticed? or just me?

maybe you could tell us a bit more about your system (hardware specs, OS). How long is the loading time? Which base did you start from?

If you use LSH3, you will hav to face the fact, that it enhances the loading times compared to Standard SH3 or GWX.

25 fps are a "normal" framerate concerning my system. TIME COMPRESSION in harbour ends at 64x in my game.
But if you leave the harbour area more than 25km behind you this lag should be passed.

LSH3 is designed much more "Living" especially within the harbour areas. There is much more ship traffic and animated objects in harbour equipment. In fact you are the first one asking for a "Light Harbour Traffic MOD". Even a "No Harbour Traffic MOD" will only do slightly changes to the frame rate. So we do not have such a MOD.

Sorry, but our scene.dat-specialist dwindled away two weeks ago (personal reasons) and we do not know when he will be back.

In Germany the use of this symbol is prohibited by law. By the way, it is not a "SS" symbol but the symbol of "National Socialism". You will have to delete some files to show the flag. Have a look into the textures folder.

Hi !

Open the scene.dat and look for LodFactor (6: Node-Sky > 8: EnvData > 9: EnvData). And then look on the right side to LodFactor. The default value is 1,0. A higher value is bad for fps. Have you a higer value as 1,0, set the value to 1,0 and then you have (eventually) better frames !

Look into data\Textures\TNormal\tex and delete the two .tga files German.tga and German_m.tga and you see in game the swastica !

Dear LSH3-friends,
sometimes the question appears, how to use the "Autoplot"-function within LSH3 to navigate from Kiel to Brunsbüttel. Therefore we designed this manual to show the accurate way to steer to the navigation points and how to use the Autoplot-function to plot the course through the KWK-canal.

We did not include a guidance how to pass through the lock gates, because the postion of the last waypoint in front of the first gate and the speed with which the Kaleun approaches the gates differs to much.
Furthermore the gates of Kiel/Holtenau and Wilhelmshaven (both differ just slightly) compared to the gates of St. Nazaire which are definitively much shorter.
Additionally there is are further instructions necessary for the Type XXI due to its higher speed.
Therefore we only can give the following advice:
- PRACTICES MAKES PERFECT
- LESS (Speed) OFTEN IS MORE
