Hello submariners,

And a big thanks to the modders and tutorial people! I've successfully installed the Wolves of Steel mod and I think I might be ready for a campaign now after some hours practising.

What a difference! I did buy SH5 back in 2010 (!), so I can appreciate the modifications.

I too am finally jumping back in. I played the heck out of SH4, dabbled with SH3, and think I am going to tackle a modded SH5.Just not sure yet if I should do Voldya's pack, Sober's pack, or the Wolves of Steel.

Hi All, coming back too, after 3 years away, played sh3 sh4 and now starting sh5 again with basic mods, realised how much I've missed this sim even with sh5 faults but now more playable than ever thanks to the work from the modders etc. This is the only sim I've returned to apart from flight simX and x-rebirth. happy adventures my friends!:subsim:

:ping:Hi All, thanks for the welcome, like I said this is the best immersive sim out there, nothing wrong with playing the u boat campaign, but also miss the pacific theatre in sh4, but have gotten used to sh5 now and wonder if there will be mod to return to the pacific arena again, still best pc game when you want to nip away for dinner or other activities with the game still running and come back to finish the JOB! all the best.:D

It's great to get back into the game again. I finally decided to dive in and work with SH5. I bought it when it first came out, before my computer, at that time, could handle the program. When the computer finally was replaced I now have what I needs to operate SH5. So on to the next adventure.

reading these posts I decided to try to load SH5 again. Kept crashing on me previously.

I couldn't figure out how to completely uninstall everything, and clean out the registry. I did uninstall from the Ctrl Panel and run CClean But suppose I will start by trying to re-install.
