I know I speak highly of Alex Smith. But can I crucify him?

I am a fan, I have a right.

He almost threw this freaking game away... Literally.

I want to see alot more of Colin Kaepernick.

Eat my shorts Tim Tebow/Rex Ryan, that is how a real team runs a wildcat.

He has a cannon for an arm too.

Don't want to curse my pal mookie, but dem Texans be fo real.

Also, I acknowledge that Juan Castillo is gone. One down, two to go and then I can start rooting for my Eagles again.

They are, but watching the game today made me remember why my hate for Dan Dierdorf burns with the intensity of a thousand suns. That balloonhead couldn't call a balanced game if his life depended on it. Everything was "Ravens this, Ravens that, Suggs, Ed Reed, blah blah blah." Baltimore's getting absolutely spanked, and then they score to pull with NINETEEN points and Dierdorf says "Well, you know with as much time left as there is, Baltimore's back in this football game."

And then the icing on the cake was at the end where he says, "at least for today, the Texans are the better team." I'd say this kind of shutdown may resonate beyond this given Sunday.

In conclusion: suck it, Dierdorf.

Dierdorf's league awareness only covers up to the season ending January 1996, so he probably thinks that the Texans are a CFL team and this was a good will exhibition game.

I'm not usually that interested in AFC East stuff, but this particular game (NE-NYJ) has been very exciting to watch.

A game of mistakes on both sides ... at least they can't blame Tebow, yet :D

Ok my heart started beating again. That was a corker! Our boys had better pick it up if they want to attend the big dance this year.

:haha:

This is a cool article.

This is "parity," a term the NFL loves to dress up as an unquestionable positive, like "Thursday Night Football" and "$40 parking." Fans are supposed to adore the unpredictability, the anxiety that anyone can beat anyone on Any Given Sunday. But some weeks, "parity" just sounds like a fancy word for "a lot of teams that are driving everyone insane."

The San Diego Chargers, for example, could beat any NFL team on Any Given Sunday. It's also pretty obvious they could lose to the staff of an Applebee's on Any Given Sunday. The Packers have beaten the Texans and lost to the Colts. The Colts have beaten the Packers and gotten chased off the field by the Jets.

The season isn't two months old, and nearly every NFL team has experienced levitating highs, crushing lows, and hair-curling frustration that makes you want to stomp around the house, screaming loudly into a paper bag. It's like everyone's become a Dallas Cowboys fan.
