I used this today and had great success.
I'm using the steam version of SHIII with the Grey Wolves installed. I used this mod, followed the instructions and set the resolution to 3840x2160. Note that I also HAD to set the SH3 exe to run in XP SP2 compatability, run as admin, disable visual themes (I think that's all). I also had to run the exe itself and NOT use the steam library link (I guess maybe that bypasses the compatibility launch options?).
The game runs great at that resolution and looks great. Aspect ratio corrects fine and the interface scales so you can still read everything.
The only slight problem is that it seems sometimes the mouse 'spawns' off the screen to the bottom right. I've had to just move my cursor up and left to get it on screen but then it's fine.
Technical specs are
Win 7 64 bit
i7-4770k
GTX780
12GB ram |

I installed it and it but had problems during the day...
The watch officer reported no clouds but my sky was Black and cloudy just as if it was night-time.
Worked brilliant at night with and without clouds, in poor visibality, but on a clear or partial cloud day, the sky was pitch black with grey clouds, looked kinda freaky, but I miss the sun and blue sky.
Any ideas |

This was driving me crazy as I was trying to launch it from Steam. It works perfectly on Windows 7 (64bit), but you need to launch the game as administrator out of Steam.
Unfortunately, there is no fix for the aspect ratio. Nonetheless, I run the game in a 1920x1080 widescreen monitor and it is more than acceptable.
Thanks! |

I have this working in W7x64. You MUST run it full screen and not in WINDOWED mode for it to work. |

I followed the instructions to the letter and can not get this to work on my computer.
Win 7 64bit
AMD FX processor 4.1 ghz
8 gigs of RAM
960 GT
When I install the mod I would click the icon and nothing would happen. If I lowered the screen resolution the game would start but the picture looked like someone was taking a magnifying lens and waving it in front of my monitor. |

I have windows 7 64bit and can't make this work either. My game crashes to desktop after the intro movies. I tried different resolutions, but the result is always the samee. Luckily, it all works again when I delete these files from my SH3 map. Still, I woud love to play in a higher resolution than the default 1024x768. I now have two enormous black spaces left and right on my screen and the game itself is rather small. |

I had great luck with this. Came back to SH3 and realized that the old resolution just wasn't gonna cut it for me now. Win 7 64bit |

Ah thank you, I can enjoy SH3 again! |

correct Drivers?
On some ati HD graphic card windows is loading the wrong drivers.
you can not install new drivers, blue screen.
4350 is like 40 ** or something similar.
disable graphics card, then install new drivers.
write config settings.
reboot is important.
play sh3 like a Viking, and good hunting.

Can't get this to work with win 7 64 bit either. I tried it first without the 2 D9 files and they didn't work (instructions implied these might not be nessesary?)
Then i tried with the files and the main menu freezes, then tried again changing the native resolution editing the folders and still freezes at the main menu. Any ideas? |

Tried to use this fix but for some reason the game only renders to a section of the screen leaving the rest of the screen some sort of black border that is being unused by the game. |

Have tried everything, and this does absolutely nothing. No idea why it works for some of you... |
