Description
Red Storm Rising FREEROAM Mod v0.1c --- by Skyhigh/Racer_D 17/8/2017 Features: --- Freeroam: you will not get missions during this campaign. There will be plenty of enemy activity to intercept. They can be SSGNs, SSBNs, landing forces, replenishment forces - you won't know until you intercept. --- Red Storm Rising story: the storyline follows that (a bit) of Red Storm Rising. The Intro is much shorter (to avoid a clickfest if you restart a campaign). In some instances the ingame texts have been adjusted to feature RSR characters. --- scoring: since there are no missions, the scoring for tonnage is adjusted. There are 2 missions in fact. 1 is a SEAL mission that lasts 150 days which may long enough. Once you complete the SEAL mission AND have enough tonnage (like over 50 ships) then you can do the last missions. It's not the customary SSBN mission but a Land Strike where you have to fire missiles at Moscow. But before you take on these 2 missions you can just roam the map and sink enemy ships. ---- adjusted for v1.07b (MAD range in config). ___________________ Instructions: --- Just copy the override folder into the StreamingAssets folder. It works as an extra campaign so if you have vessel or weapon mods etc. they will still be fine. Happy hunting, captain!

SeniorSpaz87 03-31-18 at 02:35 PM	Well, I do have one issue with this mod... Ive run out of ships to sink! When the campaign started, I had as many as 8 ship icons at times on the world map. Now, however, after three SEAL insertions and 67 total ships sunk I am up to the TASM mission, and I want to extend my roam a bit more, but there just aren't any icons anymore. Ive taken to sailing around in circles in the Barents and even at the mouth of ports like Gremikha and ArchAngelsk, and I still don't run into the enemy... Other than that great mod haha
CaptainCruise 10-28-17 at 12:58 AM	Ed Harris is the actor, isn't he? Ed Morris was in RSR. I loved the book but I forget what vessel Morris was on. The USNR LtCmdr who parked his DD on a sand bar. Dominic "something" commanded Chicago, right? I need to read the book again. Awesome book.

LeopardDriver 08-17-17 at 06:09 PM	Quick repair for that: Copy the content of C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Cold Waters\ColdWaters_Data\StreamingAssets\default\cam paign\campaign001\missions into the mission folder without overwriting existing files. Works for me til it gets fixed.

Aramike 12-25-17 at 11:40 PM	I can't get the mod to work. The campaign map seems to freeze up, then sometimes I'm suddenly at the refit screen but with no options to do so. This all when I'm just starting out. Thoughts?
