Description
12.0 Attack the Bastion The Soviets are aware that on a one-for-one basis, NATO submarines are better than their own. To protect the sea-based arm of their strategic nuclear deterrent, most western military analysts predict that the Soviets will place their SSBNs in nearby home waters and guard them with their best ASW forces. If NATO can enter these waters and kill enough of the Soviet SSBN force, it will shift the strategic balance decidedly into NATO's favour. Duration: 120 hours This scenario is a re-make of a Harpoon Classic scenario from the original GIUK battleset and has been re-made for Harpoon 3 with the consent of AGSI.
