Rum Punch CUBA VS UNITED STATES LOCATION : COASTAL FLORIDA/CUBA DATE/TIME: 10 AUGUST 1993, 13:00:00 ZULU OVERVIEW: In the seven days preceding the outbreak of actual hostilities, most of the U.S. F-15C units were deployed to foreign soil. Air defense of the continental U.S. was turned over to the F-16 ADF units of the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserves. In Florida, the 125th Fighter Squardron of Jacksonville was moved to Homestead and augmented by the addition of units from Texas' 147th and 924th. Along with the 56th, these groups focused their attention toward watching Cuba.
