geskerigan, download and install a program called JSGME its a Mod enabler. DO NOT OPEN THE PROG WHEN DOWNLOADED. Place the downloaded exe file in your Main SH5 directory eg: C:/Ubisoft/Silent Hunter 5 or wherever you have it installed ok? Then run the JSGME exe file while it is in that folder.
It will create a folder called MODS for you. Place this Mod folder inside your MODS folder then run the JSGME program the big Yellow G and the rest is easy ok. Do the same thing with any mods you download. IMPORTANT!!!! Do Not Change Data Game Files Without Backing Them Up 1st. Hope this Helps.

i cant seem to get this to work. I have tired it with JSGME , as well as just replacing my shells.zon file.
I am using SH5 v1.2 via steam to play.
Would love to get this working. |

Stuck floating above deck and cant move. Saves only work in port. Dont bother downloading until the author fixes some of the problems, especially floating above deck and not able to move. |

yeah i got the " enemy invincible boats" problem too along with nearly everything listed above,
i dont have unlimited fuel. but if i save the game then reload it, my feul goes back to 100 lol, dunno if thats what is ment to happen,
also my torpedos never lock onto anything,i disabled manual targeting but still, every time i fire a torpedo, it just swings round and goes the other way lawol,
sometimes i surface to gun them, but the deckgun has disappeard lololol wat, but reloading the game fixes this problem
sometimes i load a save, and the screen is just black, but the noises are still there, and i can still cotnrol sub with keyboard, but cant see ****, at the bottom left it says something like " lost camera" or something like that, relolkading the save fixes that
sometimes when i use time compression a **** ton, and i look away from the map, the entire ocean is just black, the sky is completely grey and the ship is completely blue, lawl reloading saves fixes it,
anyway im still having fun  just gatta keep saving every 10 mins ty for mod man

I made Big Fishing MOD for this GREAT CHEAT MOD!
(1) Replace Flower & Town Class to BB USS North Carolina
(2) Replace UK DDs to BB HMS King George V
(3) Replace Allied Transports to Queen Mary
(4) Replace Armed Trawler to HMS Arc Royal

 THAT MOD HAVE SOME TROUBLES with game! He crash on desktop and crash the save files. BUT I FIND SOLUTION! That mod just have part of "Invisible mod" for another version of SH5. Thats easy to remove. When you unpack that mod YOU MUST DELETE DATA\SUBMARINE FOLDER OR GAME WILL BE CRASHED! Only thes setup that MOD.
BTW, here some troubles with 88mm gun, if you shoot to destroyer you can't kill him! Only torpedoes. But if you delete DATA\OBJECTS\GUNS\Deck_Gun_GE88mm.sim before install mod, you restore normaly weapon.
I think only one part intersting in that mode
"3) All torpedoes speeds have been increased by 100kts
4) All torpedoes damage, and explosive range have been increased by a factor of 10,magnetic detonation range increased to 20 m, and storage increased to @250 fore and @100 aft loading speed decreased to @ 3 sec" |
