I should like a little help on 2 matters

1) I am sure I have seen somewhere some mention of a mod which correctly retracts the periscope but I cannot locate it . I am currently sailing a 1XB and the periscope protrudes up into the Bridge area when retracted. If anyone could point me in the direction of such a mod I should appreciate it.

2) My other question relates to the harbour traffic in GW. This has always been very impressive but I am puzzled re the friendly aircraft which overfly the bases (St Nazaire, Lorient, Brest). I recall that on my first few missions (1940) as I departed ,there were frequent flights of ME109s which flew over the area----but during my last few few departures(1940, 1941) I have seen no aircraft at all. Can anyone comment on or explain this . I am puzzled by their total disappearance.
Many thanks for any feedback

1.) That would be DTB's periscope mod. All differences aside, this is one mod, i will always be grateful for. The 2nd version of this mod is even better then the first, unfortunatly you have to extract it from TW 2.2 to use it. I dont think he packaged it standalone, but i could be mistaken.

2.) I dont know the exact dates, but after a certain point the Luftwaffle was all but smashed during the war. But in 41.. i honestly don't know. It could simply be a mistake in the SCR layer for that unit, but normally when you place a unit it defaults to not spawning after the end of the war, so their removel in 41 has to be deliberate. Personnally i hate aircraft altogether because of my main.cfg setting which pauses the game anytime an aircraft is spotted. (makes it so its semi safe to go AFK while on TC mode on those long patrols i love to do so much. Aircraft pops out. games paused when i get back so i can react to it.)

One way to find out whether the aircraft are there the whole war is to open up the Mission Editor, go to the SHIII/Data/Campaigns folder, open the SCR file, find your home base and then find the Bf-109s patrolling the harbor. Right-click, select Properties and look for the start and finish dates. That will tell you exactly when they stop flying.

Their best pilot was known as "The Red Blintz".

Ah, yes, Luftwaffles with rasberry jam. Excellent against radars:cool:.

Private: "It's the radar, sir. It appears to be... Jammed!"
[Jam runs down radar screen]
Officer [sampling jam]: "Rasberry. There's only one faction in this world who'd dare give us rasberry... Luftwaffle!"
