Well i have finaly installed GW. and it launches up fine and stuff. But when at sea, in IXB submarine, i cant get it to go flank spead. I press flank on the telegraph, but it goes to stop, and it slows to like 3-4 knots. If i choose speed setting, and i press 20 knots, it moves telegraph to flank and charges ahead.

Have anyone seen this before, and is it i who have done something wrong?

Hi - I have the same problem - any suggestions on a possible fix as I don't want to restart my career again!

That's why I stopped using it. It randomizes equipment failures on your sub. It will clear up in a mission or two, maybe.

You can edit the .cfg files for commander to make it stop doing this, it's in the readme and really a pain in the butt.

Commander is a great program. However, to throw in stuff like that without it being a selectable option was a mistake, in my opinion. I don't like random, I don't like having to edit .cfg files to prevent something from doing crap I didn't ask for.

The malfunctions are in the randomized events.cfg files in SH3Commander.

Renaming the files might work (I don't know if SH3Commander is expectiong to find them or not) or comment out/delete the entries in the file, that should "fix" your problem.

Actually a user poll was undertaken back in May. You may be surprised to learn that 52% of respondents wanted *both* sabotage and malfunction effects modded by default. I chose the middle ground. Just proves that you can't please everyone and no matter which way you go someone will be quick to complain.

FWIW though, I don't think deleting/renaming 8 files is "really a pain in the butt". Indeed, I think it's quicker and easier to do than taking the time to uninstall SH3Cmdr, but each to their own...
