I Give Up ... Uninstall

OK ... i have no clouds yet, nothing seems to fix this problem, so i decided to unistall the game and do a fresh install,
i have a couple of questions, do i need to install grey wolves and then 1.1a or 1.1a has everything ? , and what about sh3 comander do you guys recomend a nem instalation of the program or should i leave it alone ?

Personally when I've needed to reinstall a supermod like GW, I've just taken the time to redo it ALL. Fresh SH3, fresh 1.4b patch, fresh GW 1.1a, fresh SH3 Commander 2.6.1 that way you know you have the latest files and only that.

GW 1.1a is stand alone and has everything you need.

if anyone has the time ... please post some of the mods you are using with GW without any problems .

Make sure that once you uninstall SHIII, you delete the SHIII folder. I think you have to also delete the SHIII folder in "My Documents" folder too. This is important to delete the first folder.

For Mods, I'm using Grey Wolves 1.1a with a couple of Fubar's skins (using the mod installer of course, JSGME). So far no problems.:)

I don't think you want to delete the folder in "My Documents" unless you really want to start everything from scratch, otherwise I think you should keep it, so you'll still have your current academy score, career etc. And if I remember correctly, there's a file in the Commander folder you need to keep, so you don't lose those settings either. Look in the appropraite threads to find more info.

Or you can move the folder somewhere else - then after the install copy the folder back to My Documents

im having some confusion here ... i installed everything like said

SHIII ---» 1.4b ---» GW 1.1a ---» SH3 comander

now i have a few questions

in GW 1.1a install menu ... must i select only one of these options ? 8k or 16k ?

GW 1.1a doenst show on the jsme menu or on the mods folder ...

another thing ... on my first install i remember having installed GW ... then the first update and only then GW1.1a , but as someone told me before 1.1a has everything ... right ?

i dont know ... but the game feels diferent now ...lol

J, GW 1.1a is a self install .exe mod, it won't show in JSGME. And you only need GW 1.1a... no GW or update.

Make sure you never install mods after you get a career started while on patrol... install only in base. If you do you'll be doing the reinstall senario again. ;) And becareful too changing cfg lines. You can run into problems doing it while on patrol too. As with mods, only change cfg lines while in base just to be safe.
