Could someone enlighten me what damaged my IIA while crossing the Wilhelmkanal? I have a pic with the spot marked...:o

Are you running any mods?
It may be a harbour you can see on the map but is there in reality

If you are using GW then I'd say it's def a harbour that's not viewable on the map...if so there is also a one as you exit the canal...so be careful!!!:D

There's a city on the left bank of the kanal but no harbour with quays or such, just a ship anchoring. Also it's more or less the route I always take so I don't understand why I got damaged now and not before.

Running latest GW with SH3Commander and a few extra ships, nothing else.

Have a look in the Locations.cfg which is in Data\Terrain

Search for LocationName=Brunsbuettel above that line should be ;FileName=
Remove the comment from the front and that should make the harbour visible at the end of the canal
The middle one is harder as I cant find the entry for it
Its there but which one it is ?

A search for "brunsbuettel" resulted in no hits in the locations.cfg...

:hmm: odd
Try Rendsburg I think thats the middle one but it might not have a name on it

No Rendsburg either. I'm gonna check what city lies in that vicinity when I play again. I need a bigger map part to find in on a real map.

Ok looked it up on map24, it's definitely Rendsburg but it's not in the locations.cfg.

I can tell ya exactly what happened (you would have realized this too if you looked out side during the day time). What happened is you rammed the northern breakwall/light house of the invisible town there. I did it too my first run through there, if you dont want to hit anything, hug the right side.

Hmm, strange. On my first voyage through the canal I looked alot outside, especially at every ship that I came across (like the one here). But I didn't notice any lighthouse. But on the other side it must be sth like that.

Thx everyone for your time and help.
