NYGM have finally attained the long thought impossible goal of having more than one depth charge! Now there are slow & fast sinking depth charges and even a ‘big’ boy!

The new depth charges are...
British VII Heavy DC - 5mps sink rate
US Mark 6 - 3mps
US Mark 7 - 2.5mps sink rate & increased payload of 240/350 (default payload is 170/240)
US Mark 9 - 6.5mps sink rate & increased payload of 190/280 (default payload is 170/240)

The new depth charge launchers are...
Elco - this has 6 DC's per launcher. And yes, the Elco now has DC's
British DC rack for the VII Heavy DC
US DC rack for the Mark 6
US DC rack for the Mark 7
US DC rack for the Mark 9

Note my guy does not have a hat, probably die of sun cancer later in life :-?

I have one question for Depth Charges. Maybe u can answer it, because u are working with them like i see:


Do u have any idea, or it is possible to change the reload time of these DC Racks for the Destroyers?


I mean when a DD is deploying Depth Charges in the water on his first run, then he must have anywhere a reload Factor (time how fast he can reload his rack to deploy next Depth Chrages in the Water...) how fast he reloads his racks to run another attck with deploying Dcs in the water.

Do u have any idea or it is possible to find out the responsilbe part in a file for changing his reload time?


Maybe u guys found something about that out and/or u know which file is responsible for that....

DC racks do not have a reload time associated with them and I am certain that one could not be added.

Der TB, being I'm impartial to the Super mods....don't have any installed, is it possible this new DC mod can made available for those of us running the vanilla SHIII? As in, to test it outside the confines of NYGM and see how it works. It really sounds interesting and more true to actual circumstanes U boats encountered, which I know is your goal.

Hey Teddy, really nice work, I DL NYGM TW, brother there's some work in that, do you still have a wife/patner/spouse ? :rotfl: .
If you don't have anything in the pipe line for the future, could you try and address the problem of fires not spreading and consuming ships ? this is a real bug bear for me, and I sure as hell don't have the talent to mod it myself.

Thankfully my beloved is VERY understanding, weeeell most of the time she is :up:

I'll re-investigate the fires but do not expect any good to come of it.

That is what i thought, that there is no reload time Factor for them.

Well if you let it, you could emtmy a DC rack in 5-10 sec. :doh:
