I have just returned to SH3 after a year away. I made a clean install. patched to 1.4b and installed the Greywolves Supermod .
I have been immensely impressed by its quality and atmosphere but I have one problem----at the top left of each in-game screen (roughly where the location info briefly appears) I have a permanent brownish rectangle . I first thought it was a logo but I have not seen it on any screen shots and it does not appear in my museum pictures.
Could anyone suggest any sort of explanation or ideas on this--what it might be caused by and how it might be removed.
Many thanks for any thoughts, insights or ideas on this.

Its a chronometer
It starts when the normal one starts but you can view it in any screen
Its draggable so move it anywhere you like

There are some other "draggables".

On the Nav map, upper left there's some charts, a game map, etc.. In the upper right there's a plotting tool.

In the periscope screen, upper left there's a flag ID map with dates on it.

In the Captains quarters, on the cabinet, there's a little booklet attached to it. If you click the book

Thanks to all--I feel as though I originally learnt about SH3 in some far more primitive parallel universe .
